Some Quick Questions

Alright so ive owned a hookah for a little over a year now, so relatively young compared to most of you. I was wondering exactly how full you guys pack the bowls, i checked that general hookah thread and it wasnt entirely clear, i use foil and usually put enough in that its a lil below the rim, but i dont pack it tight, should i? Also i bought a pack of coconut coals and i cant get them to lite, ive put them on the stove for over 10 minutes only to have them barely started, surely im doing something wrong. Ive got a small mya which im using at college, and a 26 inch no name at my house.

What kinda of bowl and what kind of shish?

Wet stuff I usually pack fairly light a fluffy a bit above the bowl

Drier stuff I pack denser about 1/8 inch over the bowl

BUT that's being super general there are exceptions (tangiers is pretty wet but i pack that fairly tight)

Ive only got starbuzz currently but yea thanks, i usually keep it fairly fluffy, just making sure i shouldnt be packing it down

Remember With normal, hole in the bottom bowls, the hot air from the coals has to be able to circulate through the tobacco. You pack it tight and you burn the top layer and block the holes at the bottom restricting air flow. Always fluff it in nice and loose for standard bowls.
