newjacksm
Hello everyone, I haven't been posting much lately because well.. I haven't been smoking as much and haven't been able to contribute to the forums. This trip to Greece is what I needed, a big stress reliever. I was there for a month and a half on this little island that holds 1000 people during the winter, but during the summer it's like a zoo. Anyways, I am back and when I was in Greece I went to bigger islands on the search for cool hookah supplies that we have never seen before. Well, unfortunatly that wasn't the case, we have seen them all. The islands that I was traveling too were next to mainland Bodrum, Turkey , so I thought I was bound to find a little town with turkish pipes and I would be able to buy a sweet pipe to show everyone!! But no.. I went to Rhodes, I saw a lot of Chinese pipes selling between 20-40 euro. I saw antiques selling for 70-180 euro, I dont even think you could smoke out of them, they looked like they were most likely for show. But then I cam across I am 99% sure Iranian hookahs. I didn't get to observe them too much or physically touch them because I wasn't really aloud, but there was the ruler on the base, no purge and the stem I believe was copper. I am not sure I couldnt touch it. The one that was about a foot and a half was selling for 25 euros and the one selling for 2.5ft was selling for 30 euros. I was so close to buying it, but I thought about it I have enough hookahs already and I dont know which one I want to smoke out of when I want to smoke on the rare times that I do ( once a week, when it use to be once a day) When I go back to Greece, I plan on making a trip over to Istanbul and mainland Turkey and possibly even Cairo for my hunt for some sweet pipes. Oh yeah I was also on the look out for some rare shisha in Greece, Nakhla and Afzal is all I saw... 250g of Nakhla Margurita w/ a pack of ql's is 8 euro. not bad since you get Ql's 8 euro = 10 dollars.
