Windcover Inside?

  1. 1. Do you use a windcover?

    • Yes, but only outside... you know, where there's wind.
    • Yes, inside (or inside and outside).
    • Nope.

Keeps wind off coals when you're outside, but you can also use it to use less coal and increase the heat by trapping it within the windcover... What I like to do is throw on a windcover when the coals get small to add more heat, until I replace with more coals.

What Ryan said... This is what I did when I had my QT and didn't have a windcover at the time:

Ohhhhh okay... Forgot that ih303 is against the damp paper towel trick... And also I've never seen those posts exchanged between him and Venger. Thanks for clearing that up, Alex. Now I'll know what the hell they're talking about from now on.

I use mine all the time. Specially with Coco's, since they have a tendency to go black on the bottom, and when you first light them, even the tops are kinda prone to not being completely red. Beats blowing on them and getting hot ash everywhere.

I typically cycle mine in, and take off periodically, even at the beginning of a round. Just makes for easier heat management. This helps especially for Nakhla, as I like to pack it real dense in my small phunnel, it definately benefits from having the wind cover on it to get the density of smoke up.

Just another great tool in your heat management arsenal. If you dont' have one, I would get one. I always feel the pain when I forget mine, when using my travel hookah. Edited by Barnaby
