Giant Ninja Robot
So we're moving to a new house and the basement has a really cool hideaway room that I'd like to turn into a meditation room. If I can talk the wifey into it, I plan to store my hookahs adjacent to it. WERE that to happen I think I'd start casually smoking again. Anywho, what a perfect time to bring up the ever popular "design your own hookah room" topic! It's a narrow room that has a partition which splits it into a smaller square space which is about...maybe 6x6? I'm thinking of dragging a clean and strong wooden pallet down there into the smaller area and placing it on the floor then covering it with a heavy duty inch thick rubber mat I have then cushions and pillows. It would leave just enough floorspace for a small end-table. Some wall mounted shelves for tons of candles would go up, a ceiling-mounted room-dividing guazy white curtain on a track, and art on the walls. Looking for a mediterranean vibe. Honestly it would primarily function as a meditation space but would lend itself well to hookah. Anyway just thought I'd share and invite you all to participate/show pics of yours/just chat
Chreees
Sounds like it'll be nice when you're done with it. Pics are a must!
Cole.
Pics are DEFINITELY a must. haha. I love thinking up smoking rooms. I hope to, in my new apartment, have a comfy, plush, circle rug I can gather around. I'm probably going to be in a studio apartment, so it would work out fairly well. Especially if I have a little circle footstool to keep my hookah on. I'll probably be making some throw pillows to sit on, or maybe get some bean bags to toss around the apartment. I really want to feature my hookah in the room. Also, since I'm taking an Arabic class this semester, I'll probably see an increase in things that will make my room seem like a Bedouin tent. They fascinate me.
Tikhman
A word of caution, the room sounds very small with basically no ventilation. In such a small space, you have to be aware of the levels of carbon monoxide that are being produced by the candles/burning coals.
Travis
Sounds bitchin,,,,,ive been using the spare room in my apartment as my "den" Pretty simple setup really.....lazy boy, loveseat, surround sound for some music, and some dark curtains on the windows to keep it chill. Great place to go to get away for a while! +1 for the pics, cant wait to see them.

Giant Ninja Robot
Well, the project is go. I went out to move some boxes in and the room is way bigger than I initially thought. It's more like 10x10 which will be nice. There is ventilation since the door to the room will be left open when smoking, etc. It might be a while but I'll post pics when the time comes.
