NorthEastSmoker
I've noticed a lot of posts and reviews in here that are people that smoke only one flavor at a time. While I do this (mainly with Peach, Melon or Orange), do you tend to lean towards just one flavor or more? discuss....
yashman19
I always mix flavors, but never really more than two at a time. If I mix more than that (which I've done years ago), I really couldn't distinguish between the three flavors. So when I mix, its no more than two. Some of my fav mixes include: Grape/cola Vanilla/almost anything Raspberry/Lemon (amazingly good) I've mixed a lot more thant his, but like I said, these are my favorites. NorthEastSmoker
Forgot to add in my first post. Most of the time, I smoke 2 flavors. Usually Mint with a fruit, or 2 fruits together.. Melon/Mint and Peach/plum are probably my 2 favorites
thepyrofish
Melon/Mint is heavenly. Though I have to go pretty easy on the mint. IF I overdo it it reminds me of a menthol cigarette and then I gag. But I do love to add just a little bit of mint to just about anything. Same goes for Lemon. I am not a huge fan of the AF Cola I have, has a funnyaftertaste to me but a little bit of lemon smooths it right out and it tastes great. I think I'll try to get some lime shisha. Coke and lime is one of my favourite non-booze drinks.I mix about as often as I smoke single flavours. I'll mix just about anything to try it. Melon/Cola is yucky by the way. imonlyapuppet
I rarely smoke just one flavor. It comes off as too strong, even overpowering if it's just one flavor.
DownZero
I usually smoke just one flavor but if I have one flavor that isn't too great, I'll try and mix it with something else to see if I can make it more enjoyable... or if I'm bored, I'll try mixing 2 flavors.. but no more than two. mushrat
Th eonly mixes I smoke are when they come that way, al la SB or Tangiers blends. I have been known to once in a blue moon mix AF GS ESK apple with Nakhla 2 apple, kinda a 2 1/2 apple. Vey good... I did get an idea last night, smoking Nakhla Mandarine after the hookah had use chocomint..and the hose still tasted of choco mint. The combination of mandarine orange and choco mint wasn't bad at all..going to actually mix the tobaccos and see if its as good in person... Catalyst Paintball
I've mixed equal parts Havana Mint to Starbuzz Strawberry. It was. The worst. Smoke I've ever had.
Bleeding_Heart1
I mainly smoke with 1 flavor because i love to know what distinguishes flavors from brands, etc. Once i find the flavor i love, i.e. my favorite cherry, ill start mixing it. I do not mix until i absolutely know what the flavor is and its characteristics. In doing this, ive created some awesome mixes. Like flavors that are stronger toward the beginning fading at then end then more subdued flavors comming in. So, i kinda do both. Never more than 3. Its a waste. Hookahnoob
What about using a head with teo or more bowls on it? I have seen 2, 3 and 4 bowls on one head. I think this would be good for a few things. If you have a multi hose hookah it would be nice for longer smoke sessions. Also what about getting two bowls and putting different flavors in each to blend them instead of mixing the tobacco? Get two flavors still and you could mix and match depending on the brand.
cymptom
I've considered these multi-head bowls before and never thought much of them, but now it occurs to me that it might work well for mixing flavors of different brands that require different heat managment. Tangiers in one bowl and AF in another? Hmm...
cymptom
Multi-bowl heads, that is Usually the only time I mix flavors is when I want to add Mint to the smoke. Cherry + Cola is a pretty nice mix as well. I'm gonna try Tangiers Blueberry/Raspberry once my lungs heal.Sorry for the double post
Hookahnoob
Thats what I thought when I saw the bowls/heads. It would be cool for long sessions or to have a different bowl waiting for you and it would be cool for the harder to smoke tobacco to mix with the easier stuff. Seems like it would blend nice that way. Someone try it and tell us how it is.
