king_lunchb0x
hey so my plan is to build custom hose but need some help, this is the hose im going to part out http://www.hookahjohn.com/Khalil-Maamoun-Rainbow-Hoses-093.htm it has 2 leaks one wont seal and cant find the other one. So i would like to keep the handle and mouth tip. but dont think i would like to use the hookah port end...doesnt always fit or seal very well. Now to my main question's does double sided tape seal and hold really well? sould i use epoxy instead of the doublesided tape or use epoxy +tape to make sure it seals? I was really wanting to make it pretty long....could anything happen by making the hose 7 1/2 feet w/o including the handle?
Chreees
DelSol's guide is probably the best I've seen so far for making hoses, IMO. But yeah, it sounds like those materials would be good. I think that's pretty much what the washables are made out of anyway... not sure, though. I know my Nammor was a certain kind of glue and also double-sided tape when I ripped it apart to add Delsol's handle to it.

IainUM
i'd say epoxy and tape. tape can always get loose over time or if it somehow gets wet, it can leak. i fixed my base that had a hole in it with epoxy and tape, since tap wouldn't plug up the hole well enough
RingsMaster
i did a slight variation to dels original design and i love it, everyone needs to put a unique twist on their hoses and it makes them so much more personal

Twisted
I made a hose this weekend using the same parts as DelSol. I think it came out pretty nice. I like you mouth piece though, Good job!
