Having "Draw" Issues With My New Nammor Hookah

Recommended Posts

you problem is likely something blocking the hole in the bottom of the stem where it fits into the base. Turn the stem over and look at the part that fits into the base. There should be a hole for each hose port and one for the purge valve. Sometimes there is a thin layer of metal slurry melted accross the hole leading to the port. Sometimes there is a chunk of something stuck up IN that hole. Make sure everything is clear from the bottom up.

this has stumped everyone i guess... what tobacco are you using? maybe it possibly requires more heat to get going real well?

I generally use Nakhla tobacco, but I also use the Romman shisha I got with this hookah.

I think alexander was right. Maybe it's just the design of the Nammor type hookahs. I get thick cloud smoke but I have to pull rather hard for it.

I realize however, that when the charcoal (three kings) becomes smaller I crush it and spread it over the bowl and I get much better smoke from it. But why can't it do that when the coal is fresh? Why only when it nears its end?

Either way, I guess I will just have to live with it. Either that or return it and get another.

So, does anyone have any suggestions for a GOOD hookah with GOOD draws that's around $80?

Thanks again for everyone's feedback, I really appreciate all of the help!

I bought that exact hookah to my sister, just a heads up, the pull is a little restricted. The downstem is wide enough to give you good airflow (at least it looks like it), but the opening of the hose port is very small (if you look inside, you will see there is only a tiny hole where air can go out)... you are probably not doing anything wrong.

if you are looking for good hookahs, look on ebay for this group called caravan trading group. they have tons of KM's for much cheaper and they do a good job sending it. i ordered my KM from there and love it

Since I havent seen anyone else post this, Regardless of how "light" you may be packing the bowl shisha can still very easily get into the holes and block the air flow. This is a fairly common problem when my friends set up my hookah beofre I get there so I go back and poke UP THROUGH THE BOTTOM of the bowl with a toothpick and try and swirl around the shisha inside to make sure the holes in the bowl aren't blocked or clogged. I dont remember if you mentioned the bowl you are using but check the size of the holes in the bowl and try this out before you smoke next time and see if it helps!

As said earlier, if the actual hose port is narrow and restricting. Would dremmeling the hose chamber/port underneath the stem to become wider be a valid fix? Or... maybe the whole hose port itself is narrow and restricting... Interesting..

This seems like the problem to me as well. The hose port is actually small, inside there is only a small hole for the air to come out from. I guess it just wasn't the best hookah to purchase. Or can I remove that little piece that's inside there? I will try and upload a picture soon.
