IainUM
so, long story short, my dad is the distributor of Adirondack Water in the state of florida. this is a water company that is mostly in the north eastern part of the US, so most probably haven't heard of it. basically they do this absolutely delicious flavored water. it is fucking amazing. im curious to try using some as a base in my hookah, but i keep going back and forth with if it is worth the time to attempt or not at all. if not, just more to drink myself. any ideas? Chaz1337
Hell if your dad is a distributor why not? Good little normal routine change up! I say go for it! Whats the worst that could happen?
jorlyfish
Just make sure you clean your base and stem well afterward... there are some threads on how to go about doing this, but essentially just swish around some warm water and lemon juice and/or baking soda in there. Some people say a flavored base liquid can make a huge difference, others say you should just drink it, but there's really no harm in trying it out. Travis
Flavored liquids in your base is not a bad idea, it can add flavor depending you add something that is going to compliment what you are smoking. Ive tried it a few times back when i was just getting started. It works, but doesnt make a huge impact imo. Personally, i prefer good old H2O. Arcane
you get more flavor if you drink the water.... you don't drink your smoke, why would you smoke your drink?
Zander
I have used many things as a base... The best thing I ever used as a base was juice and vodka mixed.
thehelios
First of all, if you're in Boca, we must smoke. Second, flavored liquids are always great when they compliment the tobacco. I had hawaiian punch in the base with mixed fruit shisha and it was delicious. Just make sure that you THOROUGHLY wash the base/hookah when you're done with those. Actually, you should always do that to make sure it's always clean.
IainUM
so i guess i'll give it a try. not expecting too much of a difference, but who knows? its probably worth trying at some point. thehelios, im not in boca anymore. i go to UM, so i live in the dorms in miami, but am always down to smoke with new people! Moovey
Never tried flavored water. But I put a red wine and water mix in my base once. It was awesome. Like 7/8 red wine, and 1/8 water. Just to reduce bubbling up.
antouwan
whenever i used to smoke af cola i would add a muddled lemon rind to the base water and it made a substantial difference - i swore it tasted like pepsi twist.
