Sonthert
There may have been a batch of tobacco that went out of here without enough flavor. It may explain some of the people's problem's with "thin and harsh smoke". It is as safe as any hookah tobacco, just not the best smoke it should be. If you have purchased Tangiers Tobacco and can't get it to smoke right, send me a PM. For those of you who are curious, the employee in question no longer works for me. Sonthert
Similar effects come from humidity shock, of course, so your tobacco might be fine. I can't begin to tell you how upset this is making me. I will make everything right for anybody out there that has Tangiers Tobacco without enough flavor. Other people who can't get it to smoke right, but the tobacco is unaffected, I will again, help you, if you send me a PM.
cymptom
The only flavors I've found to be weaker in flavor are Red Tea and Raspberry. The Red Tea smells really good... I found it to be similar to the Apricot, which is my favorite Tangiers flavor so far, so I've been excited to smoke it. Haven't been able to get much flavor out of it though. I recently moved it to a larger container and have been airing it out, so I'm gonna give it another shot soon. I'm not exactly convinced that it's a problem with the tobacco. The Raspberry flavor is very subdued, yet meaty and palpable. I'm satisfied with it for the most part... I actually only bring it up because there were a few very light colored leaves in the batch. Don't know what that means but it still smokes pretty well :)I've only tried Raspberry and Red Tea 2 or 3 times each... I smoke as often as my body will allow me, which is only 1-2 bowls per night. I'd try them tonight but I don't know if I'll be able to -- my throat is pretty destroyed and I've developed a nasty cough. I hope it's not from hookah
Sonthert
Sounds OK to me. Light colored leaves come along every now and then. During the cooking, they fall back in after the initial darkening phase, but get cooked just the same.
haremmaster
Are there certain flavors that were effected, Tangiers or is it in all the flavors.
Alqoshnia
Well I know Strawberry and Red Apple are good so far I gotta try the watermelon and blue gum ball again tonight
Sonthert
I can't say. I suspect some pineapple, blueberry and red tea are involved, but I don't want to limit it. If my tobacco isn't the BEST it should be, I want to do something about it.
skiracerj1
I bought some pineapple and red tea and though I enjoyed the smell it seemed that when smoked the flavor was kinda weak, or at least weaker than the others.
Sonthert
They aren't terribly odoriferous flavors and their flavors tend towards being lighter...well red tea's aroma is somewhat prominant. Send me your name, phone number, what place you bought it from, order number (if any), the name it would have been purchased under (if different than your own), approximately when it was purchased and I'll talk to the person in question and get your ordering information. Macho555
I have a really stupid question. Or perhaps not so stupid. But how does such a thing happen? Was the recipe bad, was the employee careless, etc? I don't honestly know anything about these things... Also, is how long will this problem last? I expect you did a sort of "recall" with the batches you knew went out weird, I guess that's how it would go... Sorry for all the questions I was about to order my first Tangiers when I read this message, lol.
Sonthert
Go ahead. Order it. I'm sure it'll be fine.Lets say carelessness, not paying attention. I say "Make 2 Kg of flavor X" and they forget and only add the amount for one Kg. Instant bleah! Fortunately, all my tobacco is made in no more than two Kg batches, which minimizes (but complicates) the problem.
