JOE
what kind of pipe is it? most likely a shaving of metal from when it was machined. my km has a little something in the heart too
Tikhman
If we had a picture of you hookah it would be easier to tell for sure. Otherwise, its not uncommon for cheaper egyptian pipes have sand in them in order to make them feel heavier.

But yeah, my KM Pear had a loose piece of metal inside the pear part of the stem. Pretty common. If you have an Egyptian that's most likely what it is. Just cause. And that orange colored sand sound like a bunch of little rust particles. WE NEED THE FOLLOWING: Brand, where you bought it, how long youve had it, how our cleaning it. Give a little, get alot.

Victim026
It's just sand.... It was made in Egypt, where coincidentally, there's lots of you guessed it.... SAND!!! In all seriousness though it's nothing to worry about, just carry on with usage as normal.

HsK BATES
funny thing is i noticed this sand sound in my MZ the other day and from what i can tell is just metal shavings loose from the inner welds? But when i shake nothing comes out. As of now really isn't causing any sort of problem.
noodle
I'd have more pride when making something to leave loose shavings inside.
