Is it just me? (Thought on Starbuzz)

Recommended Posts

Is it just me? Or does Starbuzz not fully live up to its hype?I've had about 8-10 different flavors of SB with only a few that are enjoyable. For instance, I just acclimated Mango for about 15 hours and then lit it up. As soon as it got to temp. it was plain gross. I had thick smoke, but minimal flavor like I've experienced with many SB flavors already. Clean hookah, clean hose. The ONLY thing I could think of would be that the coals are ruining the taste (3 Kings). I always light my coals all the way, and let them turn red before applying, but arg...Nevertheless, I have some Tangiers and new Coconut coals that will come in tomorrow. But back on topic, anyone else get this with SB? Or am I just Starbuzz retarded...

i've only smoked 3 flavors of starbuzzStrawberry Kiwi - i'd rate 7/10, Pomegranate - i'd say 6/10...smells too much like cherry and tasted kind of blandand Sour Apple tasted like a jolly rancher   thats my fav right nowas of now i've had no problems with starbuzz, other than its messy as hell to pack the bowls

Yeah, flavors are a tad sketchy... but to be honest... not many flavors appeal to me in general.
One thing I can say about it is that I have had great performance with it in terms of smoke thickness and heat forgiveness.
Most of my best smoking experiences have been Starbuzz powered.

Well in my opinion all the flavors suck… well let me rephrase what I said they are all good for about 5 to 10 min but after that the tobacco burns so quickly that the molasses trapped inside of the leave start to diminish and you’re basically smoking the tobacco alone. The problem with StarBuzz tobacco is that the tobacco leaves that “StarBuzz” uses are will not grade “A” more of a raw “C” Class I always find it disappointing when the flavor never tastes the same through out each container. I also find it ironic that it say made in the

I've yet to be impresed by Starbuzz, but I've only tried samples of Peach, Vanilla, and the SS Mix (lemon/mint). I'd say I enjoyed the SS Mix the most, and had some good smokes with the peach as well.... but the Vanilla was one of the worst smokes I've ever had. Maybe the flavor just doesn't sit well with me, but I thought it was rather nasty.Catalyst: Look out for those Three Kings man... I got a really nasty batch recently. Tasted like an old dusty carpet. Before you toss that Mango, I'd recommend giving it another shot with different coals.

The heat is not the problem it’s the false representation of “premium” “FRENCH VERGINA” tobacco when it is less that sufficient. When ever you have time open up a Box of GOLDEN Al FAKHER and a Box Of EXOTIC STARBUZZ and just play around with it in your hand the and see the difference. Keep one thing in mind al Fakher keeps their tobacco soaked in the molasses for about a month and a half. And StarBuzz well just plane doesn’t. I have been to the “Factory” where StarBuzz is made and I was not impressed. But don’t get me wrong the horrible mixes StarBuzz makes well those were made here in the

SB strawberry kiwi isnt one of my favorites, but I'll smoke it when I want an exceptionaly fruity smoke. Cappucino was nice when I first got it, however, I've grown very tired of the taste and it doesnt mix well. Exotic Apple is simply your every day lightly anise flavored apple.Decent stuff? Sure.Worth the 50 bucks I payed for 3 tins of it? Never.

F***k that $50 bucks for 3 tins and for starbuzz where are you buying them from.  you  shouldent have paid more than $36 for the three. damn 50 i wish i still had starbuzz on my site i had to pull it because in it is an unreliable product, when it comes to taste and availabilty because it is such a new and small company.

Well, my shipment of Tangiers came in today. Watermelon, Juicy Peach, Strawberry and Passion Fruit. Man, they smell so good from afar, but get close and take a whiff and it smells horrid.Besides the Tangiers, I also picked up a box of the Coconut coals. Im going to get some Gladwear containers for the Tangiers right now in preperation to smoke tomorrow, as well as give SB a second go with new coals.I've spent a good amount of money on this "premium" shisha bull sh*t...Maybe I should go back to AF or AA...

That's weird that they would smell bad close up. If they're still in the plastic wrap, you might be smelling the plastic. I kinda remember that giving off a scent.Let us know how you make out with the coconut coals... I've been wanting to try those.

I got starbuzz cantelope a couple weeks ago and i love it, its not real
fruity but it has a nice subtle flavor thats enjoyable to me.
Then yesterday my girlfriend surprised me and bought starbuzz cherry...
MMM i found it very good, good strong taste with nice smoke... out of
the two i liked the cherry so if you guys want to try a good kind of
starbuzz i would say go for the cherry!!! I wanna try some other
flavors... I know you guys have mentioned that some are really good and
some are horrible... WHICH ONES ARE WORTH TRYING???
THANKS!!!!

I hear alot of rumors bouncing back and forth about Starbuzz. I'm not sure anybody other than Starbuzz themselves know whats true. I think its unwarranted to say something about Starbuzz without prefacing it with "this is a rumor". Ali at Social Smoke says they make their own, in the US, so I'm inclined to believe him.
