I've heard different things about the phunnel bowl hole patterns, just wanted to see how everyone is doing theirs as I think I could develop my technique some more.

for egyptians, it's pretty much this...

i make concentric rings on phunnels...just because it looks nicer...

Yeah. I make 3-4 rings of toothpick sized holes on my phunnel. For Egyptian bowls, I start in a spiral and go towards the center, then filling spaces with holes.

I am still using the twoapplesplease method of 6-10 larger holes dead center over the hole.seems to work really well for me.

I use my oyster fork and make rows, just like eric in his tangiers packing video.

Lots of holes for me, in a few rings. I add more holes as necessary.

I just don't poke holes in the middle.

for me t depends on bowl

alien: circle around the rim and then another circle around the center hole outtermost part, right at the ceramic

small tang: 3 rings of holes then go back through and add couple extra

egypt: lots of holes, with one or two trying to get the toothpick into the holes in the bottom of the hole Edited September 17, 2010 by king_lunchb0x
