hestabbedbasil
Hey everyone, I've been lurking on this forum for a couple of months now, didn't really have a whole lot to add to any discussion. I've been smoking hookah at hookah bars for about 2 years now, and figured that I would pick one up myself for days like this. (Boss calls and says that my shift's been pushed back a couple of hours). So, I was browsing a whole bunch of sites (socialsmoke and hookahhookah, just to name a couple), and I'm just not sure on what I should start with. Chances are that if I buy a hookah, I'll be using it for many years, so I'm not really looking for a "starter" hookah. I figure I'll be using it with a few friends, so a 2-hose would be ideal. I've set aside about a hundred dollars to spend on it. Can anyone offer a suggested model? Thanks in advance!
lilotaku
I would highly suggest going with a Mya Saray hookah and i'm sure many people on this board will recommend them as well. I have owned 2 of these hookahs and they both smoke great and are very well built. There hookahs start from 50 dollars on up depending on the stem, hose, and base configuration you want. The website is www.myasaray.com and there is also a 15% discount for hookah forum members.I would highly suggest doing a search on the forums for Mya Saray to see what he offers since he doesn't have all his hookahs on his site just yet. methodical13
With $100 you'll have alot of options... Taqseem and Mya are probably the most popular choices around here. I have a Stargate and a Mya QT and the QT is the better of the 2 i think. I would suggest spending around 50 to 60 of that money on the hookah, that way you have money to buy the other necessities like coals, and tobacco and all that... lilotaku
On another note about the mya saray hookahs, it doesn't show it on the website, but you can get the hookahs from anywhere from a 1-4 hose configuratioin, you just need to contact them and they'll set it up for you. hestabbedbasil
I do appreciate the suggestion of mya saray, but after visiting the site, I've found that the glass and crystal hookahs are out of my price range, and that I don't care too much for the style of the acrylic models. Any other sorts of ideas?

Halon
Social Smoke has some bigger hookahs on sale right now from like $70-$100. They're all one-hosers, but the price is right. I picked up an Oracle the other day -- I've already got a 22" hookah from them and am very impressed so far.
