Let me try this again... This is my first time posting in the forums, but I've been lurking since I recieved my first hookah in Egypt this last spring...So I saw the 7.50 Pimp Your Hookah price on Al Fakher and had to take advantage of it.  I went to the store front, and couldn't get the website to work, which I later found out was due to Firefox being used instead of IE... worked perfectly after I opened it in an IE Tab.  Anyway, I shot him an email and he told me to call him.  This is saturday night.  I call, and he takes my order over the phone and he also throws in free shipping(!!) as well as a box of some new coals he wanted me to sample.  I was amazed so far!  Then he says he can get it to me by Weds, but we both forgot that Tuesday was the 4th so he couldn't get it out to me in time.  I was away on a trip, and was hoping that my order would arive, but when I came back I saw it hadn't.  Was a bit bummed, so went online and saw that PYH had already sent me an email saying that because of the holiday he couldn't get it out to me in time, and to make up for it he'd send me a hookah!  Twice now I'm amazed, and almost feel it's too good too be true.He sends off the package and says it should get to me but monday, but it's saturday and the package has arrived.  It's HUGE!  Over 10kgs!  After taking out alot of packing materials (Kudos for that BTW) I get to the meat of the matter.  4 boxes of tasty Al Fakher, 2 boxes of coals, and the third box of the coals he wanted me to try.  As I look in the box, expecting to see a small acrylic hookah, I'm in shock: there is a briefcase in there.  My eyes bulge, and I don't know what to do... Finally I pull it out and see three WONDERFUL letters on the side of the briefcase: MYA.  I can't believe it!  A single tear actually escaped from my eye. Yes, they sent me a beautiful MYA hookah, and it's also my favorite color!  I've never experienced any service like this from anyone.  ANYONE.  Billy, be careful you don't put yourself out of business this way!!!I'm sorry social smoke, you've lost a customer.:(All I can say to Billy:  Shukran awe awe awe!  (Thank you very very much!)The only thing that is going to bum me out is when PYH gets so big he won't be able to take care of my orders himself.  BTW- Took a photo, but need to crop it.  Will post it in my next message.

Heh... yeah, I had the firefox problem for a long time till i figured it out... god, great stuff like that doesn't happen to me :/  Oh well, I'm ordering monday or tuesday when my bank clears my pay check.  I can only hope that I get that lucky

You know, I stumbled across that site, but I found it to be somewhat unprofessional looking, with its simple frames and blocks of times new roman text. Another thing that turned me off was the fact that the shisha pages didn't say how much shisha came in an order, unless maybe I missed it. I'm not dissing him, just giving some feedback I guess.
 
Glad to hear the guy is legit and reliable, and apparently extremely generous. If he expands his selection I may try him out. Maybe he could sell some tangiers? We need more sites selling that stuff.

Cymptom, I'll make you a deal... get me a Khalil Mammon, and I'll try you my MYA.:)  :pimonlyapuppet, the website does need alot of work, but the company itself is very much legit and reliable.  I'll be honest that I didn't expect much at first, but Billy of PYH really understands what it takes to keep a customer happy. One thing I'd suggest is to make it work with Firefox, but I'd rather have him put his time and effort into customer service then into a storefront.  You know what would help is Reviews by customers.  I'd GLADLY be the first to post what happened.As for selection, I think he's more then willing to take request for products you'd like to see... his store front didn't list 3-Kings, but as part of my order he went out of his way to get them for me, and a really great price! Tangiers, how about it?  A trial partnership?  I wouldn't mind trying some of the Fabled Tangiers at PYH prices.  hehehehe

I don't want to sound like a jerk (and I know I have possible
motivations for asking this question), but is anyone else wondering
about the validity of this post? 

Given what I know about wholesale prices and the MYA hookah in
question, PYH would have taken a loss of over $76.  All of this
for a fairly small order to begin with.

Further, this was abd al Hadi's first post.

Finally, he seems to know a lot
about PYH's operations, solicits customer reviews on the forums,
informs the customers base of problems with the site (Firefox v. IE)
and, am I mistaken, is even attempting to prompt (or negotiate) a
business deal with Tangiers.

I'm probably the worst person to verbalize a suspicion like this, but somebody else must be asking the same questions...

it seems VERY strange to me that pimp would send an expensive MYA in return for being late on a small order. Im not saying it didnt happen, it just seems unlikely. Especially considering cymptom recieved a small novelty hookah as a gift.Enima: because (as you mentioned) you have motivations to post what you did, I dont think it was appropriate. The last thing all of us want is vendors attacking eachother on the forum. Perhaps it would be a better idea to PM Mr. Bubble(the moderator) if future suspicions arise.

You of all people should think it was a fake post[b] [/b][b]Enima for Your Lungs[/b], but it is a real review from a happy customer[b] [/b]and FYI the cost on that hookah was $55.00. So feel free to contact me if you think I had the nerve to fake any more posts or better yet give abd al Hadi a ring I am pretty sure he would have something’s to say. And the reason why he knows a lot about the business is because he took the time to actually talk to me and explained to me what he wanted and needed. I personally take time to talk to customers who call me. This is what made me get in the hookah business. People like you that can’t do anything but criticize me, yes I am a newbie when it comes to online sales but when It comes to customer service I excel further than another person does. And the reason why I give things away is because of a company policy my partner and I thought up called hookah lottery. I can’t get into detail about it but is one of the things that make my business fun and exciting. I make enough off of whole sale I don’t need to rip people of on retail. I am happy as long as the site pays for it self and if there is anything extra I spend it on give aways. I just do this for fun and it is fun to talk to my customer’s upon hours about different hookah concepts designs. So for any one that dose have anything to say about my site say it to someone next to you or your friend but not on this forum. Even though my site is far from professional it doesn’t mean that I don’t get down to business. And once again I am not scared to talk to any one that has anything bad to say about my site. So do feel free to call.

Actually, I think Enima did it exactly right. He used his personal log in, as he was requested to do, and he made some valid points. Points I myself found interesting. And since he'd faced questions from me and others about  HIS integrety and honesty, questions I believe he has answered to everyone's satisfaction, if not their liking, he has the right to bring up questions himself.
He did exactly what I did/do. Raise the questions and is willing to say he was wrong if it turns out he is. This is what I believe SHOULD happen on this forum. People want to use the forum for self promtion, free advertising, etc, they had better do it honestly and openly. You going to try to BS us (and I'm not saying this is the case) then you had better be prepared for all the backlash thats going to come from such abuse.
Oh and Duck, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but Bubba isn't around much anymore, which is why the new catagory has been posted about looking for new moderators is up and running.
and PYH: There aren't many people in business to give away their profits. When folks start giving expensive things away, its GOING to raise questions. When an unknown poster starts talking about how wonderful a new vendor is and about all the great things they are GIVING away, just as the same Vendor is coming under scrutiny or facing criticism, well, lets just say we've seen this scenerio before.
So, you are a hookah wholesaler as well?

I know I'm pretty new to this forum, but I've been a member on many other forums for a number of years, not necessarily about hookahs, but just forums in general, and I don't think the idea of a forum like this is to sit around in a circle and bash on someone in a childish way like this.  From my personal experience, and like everyone's heard before, don't judge a book by it's cover.  The same way I wouldn't judge any of the other companies on this forum that I personally haven't bought anything from. I guess this week maybe I'll start trying some of these different websites out so that I can atleast back up my judgements and criticism with solid evidence.  Healthy competition is great, but this isn't a political forum or a hating forum, so give opinions about things you've experienced, which will help customers a lot more than just criticizing everyone and only promoting your own products.  This is coming from a customer myself.  It doesn't make you look good when you post rude things about other competitors.  Just had to give my two cents after noticing this type of thing on a number of occasions while browsing through this forum.

When I first saw this thread, a flag did appear in my head. But it was overshadowed because I dont get free sh*t like that.In my opinion, I think this is a tactical business move to earn some "credit" after being slammed in the previous PYH thread.PHY, correct me if im wrong, you don't have a warehouse or store do you? Are you keeping all of your products at your residence?

Gixxer: I agree with you to a point. But its important to keep in mind this forum is the biggest English speaking one on the web, it reaches a LOT of people and is free from any site/hosting sponsored advertising and pop ups. Merchants like to think its a free for all when it comes to posting on the forum. What they have is free advertising straight into their true target audience.
  This is an easy situation for abuse. Other forums, non-hookah related, have rules about actual retailers posting at all, or what they can post, etc. Especially if it is in competition with the entity thats hosting/sponsoring/paying for, the forum, often a retailer. This isn't the case here, most people don't even KNOW what hookah site actually is behind this forum. So if a retailer is going to use the site for free advertising, they need to do it honestly and openly. It's costing them nothing but they have to plair FAIR. It's not too much to ask for this kind of exposure, and to be honest, I take it PERSONALLY when a retailer pulls this kind of thing (not that I'm saing that is the case with PYH), I think it insults my intelege...inteli...makes me think the retailer thinks I'm an idiot if I'm going to swallow a line of BS.

My plan then is to order a simple thing from Pimp Your Hookah and either end or confirm the accusations.  You can't complain until you've experienced it yourself.  I'm always willing to give people a try before they go on my "hate" list.  I understand what you're saying about retailers posting on this forum, but I guess the point I was trying to stress is that the people who do the trash talking should have a legitimate reason behind it (e.g. bad service with the retailer).  It's hard to play fair in this world, but it's gotta start somewhere, so I'll give the guy a try and post my experience.

Mushrat makes a great point that I overlooked.One of the paintball forums where I moderate, www.pbnation.com (15th largest forum according to www.big-boards.com), we cannot allow retail postings of any kind.They are chopped within minutes of being posted.This forum is a little bit different, due to it being so small and the amount of money that can be gained from retailers posting shamless plugs for their companies.So just like Mush said, all the retailers posting as representatives for their companies need to follow some simple ethic guidelines.The one thing that I find interesting/alarming out of this situation is that last week PYH was on the chopping block for $7.50 Shisha. This week, they indirectly come back into the spotlight with 2 free hookahs.
