Coleman
So i was on the hookah-shisha site and i was browsing throught the Mya hookahs when i saw the Colossus. I would kill for this hookah but its so expensive its not worth it to me. I was just wondering how many of you forum members would be willing to purchase this. Anxiety
As beautiful as the hookah is, it is more of an expensive "eye candy" than a great hookah. I bought the mya oblesik, another rather expensive, but beautiful hookah and have had a lot of issues with it. Although they do look great, they are very fragile and require a lot of maintenance. If you plan on getting one I wouldn't make it your main hookah, more of a show off to friends type of deal.
Matto
I have one as well, and although I love it, it has had it's fair share of problems. My KM smokes just as good, if not better and was half the price.

Chreees
It's good and all, but any of the cheaper smaller Myas will smoke just as good. For the price of the Colossus, I'd rather get a KM.
Nacko
It's a luxury product that has bet its market appeal on aesthetics. As such, its worthiness of its price tag is some degree of meaningless because its value is already so subjective. Whether the cost of entry is fair for a given individual is going to depend on that person's appreciation for the product's particular beauty and underlying function contrasted with the competition and taking into consideration his or her unique economic situation--a luxury item, no matter how beautiful, has no place in the budget of those who are struggling to pay next month's rent. Conversely, a man making a sufficiently extravagant income may not think nearly as hard, or indeed even at all, about throwing down a few hundred dollars, even if it's on a whim. (Whims are, apparently, exceedingly expensive to purchase.) So the answer to your question is, "Maybe." What were we talking about?
ih303
It all just depends on what you're looking for in a hookah. When people come to me wanting to buy a Mya, they're generally attracted to its portability, size, and price. Obviously the Colossus is not cheap, or small (though still relatively portable), so I'm guessing you're simply attracted to it for how it looks. If that's the case, I say go for it. Most hookahs in that size range are pretty comparable in terms of how they smoke. However many people favor Egyptians for their slightly easier pull and functional purge (something ALL Mya's lack). Those attracted to Mya's are generally drawn by to their asthetic styling and functionality. The best thing to do then is to smoke out of each and make a decision. There's nothing wrong with buying a hideious pipe that smokes like a chimney or a glorious pipe that smokes like an old shoe. It just comes down to what you like. Dig?
