Question For Lounge Workers/Owners

Recommended Posts

So a friend and I are in the early stages of opening up a lounge in Arkansas. We had planned on selling spices such as K2, or what not as a means to make extra money as it's a decent business here in Fayetteville. However, we were wondering what the laws are regarding if people could buy it to smoke AT the lounge. So far we haven't turned up much in the way of laws or ordinances. We do know K2 is banned in Arkansas so that's out, but there are other alternatives that are still legal to sell. Anyone have any insight to this?

I owned a lounge until recently.

DON'T do it. Stick to shisha. Don't give the Mother's Against Everything ANYTHING to point to and say you are encouraging drug use, etc. It will be illegal all over soon enough so why get caught up in it.

^ This.

When my partners and I first heard about spice they were ready to do the same thing. They saw it as an opportunity to make some quick cash while it was still legal. I on the other hand wanted nothing to do with it. It's hard enough being a lounge owner trying to make people believe that WE REALLY ARE SMOKING TOBACCO! But when you start dabbling in that kind of stuff, you give them good reason to say, "See! I told you those guys were just a bunch of stoners." Next thing you know, the cops are stopping by doing random searches and you become known as "that place" that's shady and suspicious. And that, my friend, is bad for business.

Like Mush said, it's all going to be illegal eventually. Save yourself the hassle and keep your business away from that shit.
