Ok, I dont want to be a hater, buuuuuuuut

About 3 years ago i owned two sahara hookahs.
I received both as gifts from friends/family.
Both smoked great, no problems..........until about a month down the road.
The downstem was beginning to corrode, even though they were both cleaned very well after use.
A white, calcium-y buildup would keep coming back, no matter how many times i cleaned it off.
Finally, after another week or two, the downstem had nothing left to it, due to the corrosion eating it up.

So, i decided to shoot them an email about the issue i was having.

The response i received:

(along the lines of) "Were sorry to hear that your having issues with our product. You can purchase a new downstem for the models you listed on our website"

Me, being completely blown away, emailed them back several times. Each response i received was the exact same as above. "Wow, that sucks for you. Buy another one from us, so that one can fall apart too!"

So, i tossed them and kept the vases.
Havent bought anything with their name on it since.

Again, im not trying to bad mouth the company, just simply explaining my experiences with them.

*I have heard other people on this very forum say that they had experienced the same issues as I had.

My friend had the same questions about a hookah she purchased. What I thought of the quality, ideas, etc.

Basically, they are American hookahs for the basic average American hookah smoker.

Definitely not high quality, but if you work them right they will smoke well.

But the most important thing about a hookah, is it's solidness. It's sturdiness. It's durability. And SS has none of those.

I took in one of their four-hose models on a trade for a crappy social smoke I was trying to get rid of about a year ago. The people had found it in a pawn shop and just wanted something simpler. My first impression was that it was quality since it was solid and heavy. But after using it for a year, I've got a slightly different opinion.

I'm not sure what that thing's made out of, but the paint or coating or plating or whatever is starting to flake off. Not to mention the downstem seems to be made from multiple "plies" of metal vs a single layer tube, and they're starting to separate at the top and look like crap.

For what it's worth, the thing has performed well for us, but I certainly won't ever buy another one. Considering I basically got it for free, I'm not too disappointed.
