Differences Between Nahkla And Nahkla Mizo?

Recommended Posts

nahkla has been a main staple of my smoking appetite, as well as al fahker. now i have never tried nahkla mizo, as none of the local places i buy from ever have any in stock. i am thinking of doing an order sometime in the near future and gonna order a few boxes of nahkla, and i wanted to find out if mizo is worth extra couple of bucks and if there are any differences. i know regular nahkla is unwashed, but is mizo washed?

thanks guys and gals

Mizo is more wet, similar to Al Fakher. I believe it was manufactured to be a direct competitor, but with more of a nicotine punch since it's unwashed. I've had great luck with Mizo when it was fresh, but I find over time it tends to become a bit more chemical-y. Sheherazade is another of their lines similar to El Basha. I find the Sheherazade line stronger in flavor that the regular Nakhla, and the El Basha line much smoother. more subtle and almost complex. It strikes me as being more blended, like the finest Cavendish pipe tobacco. El Basha caramel is my all time favorite subtle flavored tobacco - when I'm not looking for strong candy flavors hitting me in the face, but more complex and layered. And it's all based on how my particular palate interprets the flavors, so though we can give you some guidance, you kind of have to try the various sub-brands for yourself.

yeah Mizo is just more "juicy" and sweeter overall....Not a big fan of it personally the only note worthy ones IMO are lemon and gum the others are ehh the classic versions of them are better IMO and guava and watermelon just arent good no matter how much ya mix them together..thats me though...

And Yes Rani I love to see some love for basha caramel such a underrated flavor..that and classic appricot dont get the love they deserv IMO

You're getting good info here from Rani and twoapps. I'll add that we sell Mizo Watermelon and Guava at my lounge, and both are wildly popular. We've tried selling the other Mizo flavors but didn't have nearly the response of those two. Not to mention the Mizo Apricot is straight crap IMO. And while I think the watermelon's probably the best on the market, my favorites are the guava and lemon.

Oh, and sorry guys, but I sat on my line of El Basha flavors for over a year before giving them away for free. I understand they're supposed to be lighter and smoother, but the ones I smoked were really nothing special. Sure the caramel was sophisticated, but it didn't taste like caramel (at least any caramel I've had). I'm not saying they're bad in general, just not my cup o' tea.

Generally speaking, Nakhla is a fantastic brand and deserve their spot at the top. And I really think they hit a homerun (for the most part) with the Mizo line (especially if we ever see Raspberry Mizo). But it just goes to show that even the best brands don't do everything right.

IainUM, if I was you, I'd pick up some Guava and Watermelon Mizo simply because they're the most popular of that line. See what you think then branch out. Mizo flavors are only available in the states in 250g boxes (from what I know) so choose wisely, but with most everything else you'll be able to try it in 50g before you commit to a larger quantity. Good luck!

sick, thanks for the info. if it was washed tobacco, i'd be less inclined to try it, cause i like the buzz nakhla gives me sometimes. i have to smoke like a chimney just to get a bit of a buzz, though, since i smoke so much. luckily i haven't been a daily smoker for the last month due to college, so i think my tolerance might go down. awwww yeah.

im gonna order a few boxes and try some out. im in the hunt for the best peach i can find, so im trying to get some nak peach and mizo peach at somepoint and then later on getting some tangiers juicy peach

much wetter than traditional nakhla, its still unwashed but i think it gives less of a buzz. i dont get a buzz from either but my friends usually get buzzed from reg. nakhla but not from mizo.

Ill give you my opinions on the mizo flavors:

Apple - DA is much better
Apricot - straight garbage
Grape - really good imo. really wet, very tasty. much better than af grape. pack slightly lower because since its so wet with dye you could burn it
Gum - fantastic. sweet, cool, not too minty. very refreshing. very good straight up
Lemon - must buy imo, the best lemon ive ever smoked. i like it mixed with mint more than i enjoy lucid mimon.
Mint - very strong in your face mint. ive never smoked this straight up because i dont think i can handle it. when mixing use less than you would with other mint flavors
Orange - i did not enjoy this very much. i much prefer AF orange.
Watermelon - not my favorite mizo flavor but i still like it. i dont smoke it straight up and always smoke it mixed with mint (great mix)
Guava - very strong flavor, one of my favorites. very interesting flavor too (i think the flavor is pakistani guavas)
Peach - very strong flavor like guava, but with some floral in it. i used to like it a lot but now when i want peach i switch between this and af peach since it is less intense.
Cherry - i dont think i ever tried it.

my recommendations: grape, gum, lemon, mint, watermelon, guava, peach Edited by wesclrg

Apple - DA is much better
Meh, I don't notice much of a difference.
Apricot - straight garbage
Agreed
Grape - really good imo. really wet, very tasty. much better than af grape. pack slightly lower because since its so wet with dye you could burn it
Again, not much different than AF grape. Just as wet but with a bigger cut.
Gum - fantastic. sweet, cool, not too minty. very refreshing. very good straight up
Very similar to AF Gum.
Lemon - must buy imo, the best lemon ive ever smoked. i like it mixed with mint more than i enjoy lucid mimon.
Hands down THE BEST lemon ever. Beats the pants out of AF (which doesn't even taste like lemon). Definitely an hookah cupboard essential.
Mint - very strong in your face mint. ive never smoked this straight up because i dont think i can handle it. when mixing use less than you would with other mint flavors
I dont' think it's THAT strong. I put it in the middle between AF and NK Mint. It has the nice, full minty flavor of AF that NK lacks and the menthol coolness of NK that AF lacks. Perfect mint, IMO.
Orange - i did not enjoy this very much. i much prefer AF orange.
This is a good orange but heavier and slightly more musky than AF. It's like a juicier version of their regular orange.
Watermelon - not my favorite mizo flavor but i still like it. i dont smoke it straight up and always smoke it mixed with mint (great mix)
Best watermelon I've had to date. Fantastic mixed with Guava.
Guava - very strong flavor, one of my favorites. very interesting flavor too (i think the flavor is pakistani guavas)
Fantastic flavor. One of my faves.
Peach - very strong flavor like guava, but with some floral in it. i used to like it a lot but now when i want peach i switch between this and af peach since it is less intense.
Slightly lighter and less musky than regular NK Peach but still very similar.
Cherry - i dont think i ever tried it.
Very similar to regular NK Cherry - super intense topload resulting in cough-syruppy start that mellows out over time.
