no longer welcome Posted September 28, 2010 Share Posted September 28, 2010 isn't it us customs that checks your package? i know your details and don't want to give them all out, but i would assume that you are not required to pay any duties/taxes. if it helps you argue, if you ever need, tobacco taxes were paid on that in the US. Canon Posted September 28, 2010 Author Share Posted September 28, 2010 They have a little board in the post office that says what you can and cannot bring to Japan. more then 250 grams of tobacco is not allowed. along with beef jerky (which they have taken before) and other random things that are "unsafe" I dont know if its the Japanese custom agents that check it or the US custom agents but they let it fly 2 times now.
