Chreees
Khalil Mamoon, Mya, Temsah, Magdy Zaidan, Nour, Al Nawras... I'm repeating myself here:
1. You need a new hookah. Get a Mya, Khalil Mamoon, Nour, Al Nawras, Temsah, just SOMETHING other than a little pumpkin hookah. Those pumpkins are notorious for sucking. 2. Make sure you completely break up the shisha into a tupperware tub. REALLY break it up as finely as you can, spread it around. Get it all mixed up good. Then place it into your bowl (don't sprinkle for Nak) up to the rim of the bowl. Or you can sprinkle it in a little bit ABOVE the rim, and then press it down with your palm so that it is flush with the rim. Apply foil tightly. Poke holes all over the damn place. Like, everywhere. Using a toothpick. Make sure to go all the way to the bottom of the bowl. Once done, turn it over and blow through the stem of the bowl, to make sure the holes are clear. Place bowl on hookah. 3. Apply FULLY lit coal onto bowl. If you're using a disc-like quicklight, break that sucker in half. Put each half on opposite edges of the bowl. Remember, the two coal halves do NOT love each other. They hate each other and wish to be as far from each other as possible. Hell, hang 'em off the edge a bit. They hate each other that much. Rotate coal halves every 5 minutes or so. Whatever you do, don't just plop a coal in the middle of the bowl. Hope this helps. Report back.

Chreees
Make sure if you think it's a Mya that it actually has "MYA" engraved on the heart of the stem. It'll be really tiny, so look closely. It's also engraved on the tray. There's a LOT of Mya rip-offs out there.

As i come to think of it, what if there will be only non-brand hookahs? Or brand, but shity brand? What should i check for when buying a hookah when not to sure of the quality? Are there some key things i should certainly check before buying one?

Someone said that the bigger the bowl, or to be precise, the bigger the space between the water and the top of the base(while the down stem is submerged about an 1 inch) the better, because he said that the smoke builds up more and that you get thicker smoke, is it true? Most of the people said that it is good to use ''the over-pack method'' and that it really get's the flavor out of the shisha. What do you think? I am going to try it with my new hookah not this small shit, so for the time being till i get it i am sure that some of you know if it's good or bad, so could you please help me? Solid traditional chamber, preferably brass-heart, wide-gauge downstem and hose port, clean welds, etc- and this is talking about traditional handmade pipes, usually Egyptians. Honestly when I was starting out I could've thought the shittiest hookah ever was built good. Now I know better. Once you've owned a shitty Chinese and a Mya and then a KM, you can tell the difference in quality and then you know how to tell if a hookah is well-built or not. For me, it took experience, because I didn't know how to "look for a solid-brass heart" on a hookah. Does that make sense? Heavy is also another good sign. A Mya QT stem is a heavy little sucker compared to a shitty Chinese. You feel like you could kill a man holding it in your hands. KM even more so. Right now if I were you I'd stick to the brand-names, so you know what you're getting is good, instead of unknowingly wasting more money on another shitty Chinese rig.
No, quite contraire. I've gotten thicker smoke (granted not as big) out of a small 14" Mya QT over a 32" KM. What matters in getting the best smoke is a few things: 1. Your packing and heat management skills. 2. The type of bowl you use (I, and most others will agree, get biggest smoke from a Tangiers phunnel, no matter what brand of tobacco you use). 3. Type of hose- wide-gauge hoses allow more smoke over tiny restrictive hoses. I feel like I'm forgetting something, but will wake up and post again if I realize it... I'm going to sleep for a little while.

The downsteam and heart will be a little harder for me to tell. I am not sure what to look for, should the downstem be as wide as possible or how? I'd love to get a brand hookah, even if i'd had to pay a few dollars more, but i think there wont be any brands there. I will go check tomorrow and i will post back what i have found out.
Yeah i know it would be best getting it online, but we don't even have a hookah website that sells em online in my country. I was in the shop today and as i thought they have only non-brand hookahs, although they look pretty good i have no idea what to think of them. I will try taking a picture and post it later. jan019
Hiiiii!! I finally got my hookah :-)))))))))))) I got it from the store i was talking about and i didn't believe my eyes they had one last brand hookah! So i checked out every part of it, every seal and it's SUPER!! It looks beautifull! It's a TopMark i donno if you know it, but here in my country it's the best brand you can get, so i am very happy! :-) Although it does have a short hose about half a meter? Maybe more, i donno i will check that later and plus the hose port and hose has a very nice diameter so the pull from it is great! I am so excited . I will also post some photos of this baby! I really hope it will smoke as good as it looks! Just one thing i am really a scared, or nervous from and that is that the stem is welded to the heart in a very strange way :/ I will take a pic of that too andn show it to you guys so you can tell me if it's ok or if it's some shit. Because it looks like the stem broke of and then was quickly welded on by someone just so he can sell it :/. I hope it's not going to be a big problem. We'll see, but i will surely post some pics of it to know your opinions. BTW here is a link i found to it on the net, i am not 100% sure if it's exactly the one i have, but if not there will be only a minor difference. So this is almost my hookah, or maybe exactly. http://www.hookahsworld.com/product_info.php/cPath/21/products_id/842 I got it with all of the items listed 550czk, thats about 25$ . It's quite cheap so i hope it's not cheaper because of the stem that looks strange. Cya
Jesse
I don't really know about shipping it from that far, i have to think that out first. But most probably i am going to go check the hookah store tomorrow and see if they got MYA's, if not what other brand would you recommend me, not from the ones i posted, but from all you know? Thanks
I am a new smoker just like you, and I was able to get a great little hookah that looks like a Pumpkin style, It's made by Salaam and has a nice hose width and a decent bowl. As others have said, having 2 coals seems to work well on small ones. I have experimented with 2 3 Kings Quick Light coals on the edges of the bowl worked around and then to the center, and the smoke is great for QL's ( I'm also going to get natural coals which are better). Glad the TopMark worked for you though.
