Scalliwag
It is going to be a few weeks before I get the ones from Dubai and I couldn't wait. So I picked this small one up to hold me over. There is a local smoke shop that I went into and the guy told me I could have this little acrylic vase hookah in the case with tongs, cleaner, etc. for $40 including tax. I figured why not because I really wanted something to take on my weekend trip to northern New Mexico. He went to the back to get a new one and when we opened it the hookah was bigger and had a nice glass vase. Plus the hose is 5 feet long!!! The body is made of aluminum and a nice ceramic bowl. He picked up a tube of coals and a box of double apple tobacco and was out the door for $52. He even gave me a new lighter which I never got to use courtesy of security at the airport. That was my dumbass fault for forgetting about that though. Anyways I absolutely loved it. It was really smooth and very easy to clean up. I have no clue what the brand is but I am very happy with it. Here are pics. I live in the north Fort Worth Texas area and did not even know a shop that sold hookah stuff around here. I am very happy to know we have at least one really good place. EliteHookah.com
That sounds and looks like a King Hookah. We sell the same item in the screw-on stem version. It really is a great hookah, especially for traveling.
Scalliwag
The only thing I don't like about it is getting the hose to stay plugged. It is not even close to the same taper as where it plugs into and the rubber gasket is fairly thin. After alot of twisting, pushing it stays but will work loose. Any ideas on fixing that problem? Scalliwag
oh, it does have an aluminum tube that screws on. I am guessing that is the stem? In the pic I just left it laying in the vase because I had to take it back apart after I took the pics. I had to wait about 5 hours to try it that night. On the way home at the airport one of the security guards opened the case because the tongs did not look right. He asked me how it smoked because he likes hookahs. It was not too long ago I never even heard of a hookah and now I am running into people everywhere that are enthusiest.
mushrat
Could be a Sultan? As for the Hose problem, a lot of hookahs have that issue. The hose looks like a fairly cheap non-washable type. When it start to rust, you might try a different hose brand. The taper may be better your your hookah. Also, with continued use, the grommet may begin to better shape itself around the hose and keep it in better...
Macho555
It looks exactly like my hookah, exact same case and everything. Mines in black however. I love mine as well, it smokes very well. I bought mine off of Hookah Company, but I believe Taqseem actually makes them, and bills them as the Junior. Lord knows I could be incredibly wrong though. Macho555
Yeah, but look: http://www.taqseem.com/models/stargate25.jpg I'm not sure if Taqseem is the original, or if Hookah Companys or yours are from them. The hookah style is rather common, but that could just be from distribution. I'm leaning towards them being Taqseem brands, since I'd like to think Hookah Company wouldn't sell copys. FAITH!
