momentum
So I've gotten tangiers to work well in the small tangiers phunnel, but when im by myself it is way too much shisha and a lot ends up getting wasted. Hence i bought one of these http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-6745-glass-mod-hookah-bowls.html the phunnel one, that is. Wondering if anyone has smoked tangiers out of this exact bowl, I know stuie has one. Im using one CH hookah coal, and I know tangiers needs less heat, so maybe that's the problem. I'm wondering about how much coal one of these little bowls needs, and also about poking holes in it. If you have one you probably know what I'm talking about, because the side and hole are so thick that theres not much room to poke holes over the tobacco. Any advice? poncho
throw it away, its not made of glass that is suitable to withstand your constant heating and cooling of your charcoals.
mushrat
ive never used one before but i have smoked tangiers in pyrex smiley bowls. I believe the glass retains the heat better than the ceramic or clay ones so you will have to be careful not to burn your shisha as the bowl superheats. momentum
Well I think I'll give it a couple more tries because of my very possible lack of tangiers packing skills and tangiers randomness. I'm afraid that it wasn't acclimated for long enough, as I'm in Canada and got it from Hookah John, so theres quite a difference (Calgary is soooo dry) Too early for me to just throw the bowl out lol, Thanks for the replies so far, I'm gunna pack one right now and pray. momentum
Yay it's going way better now, instead of using a CH coal I'm using a split up 3kings so the heat management is better. The taste isnt completely there yet, but its much better than before and its not harsh. Gunna' let it continue to acclimate overnight. There is hope! mushrat
people tend to use WAY to much heat on tangiers and glass bowls just make it harder if you arent used to the characteristics.
