The Greek
So Ive had a mya chic for a few months and i was wondering what people would suggest doing to it. Ive got a normal mod bowl on there. I wanted to turn it into a two hose but im not sure if you can. The purge valve has threads on it so i dont see how you could. If anyone knows of an adapter i would greatly appreciate it. I also have a normal hose for it but would love to upgrade it but i dont know what to get. Im also getting a wind cover cause i only smoke outside and its crazy windy. By the way, has anyone tried putting gatorade in the base?
Cole.
I think I remember a thread on here mentioning using Gatorade in the base... however I don't think I'd do it personally cos the sugar would be a pain to clean for me. Water just washes out easy enough. Ha. I'm lazy. But yeah, search gatorade and I'm sure things'll pop up. My friend mentioned she used Crystal Light with a skittles flavor. It's possible to have a Chic with two hoses, so I'd imagine if you just got a mya hose adapter for it, it would work. I know it does with my QT. Chreees
To make it a two-hose, this is all you need: http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-1548-mya-hookah-hose-adapter.html You just unscrew the purge valve, and screw in the hose port adapter. Easy! Get a Tangiers phunnel if you do or plan on smoking Tangiers. It also works good for other brands. Get a wide-gauge hose. Nammor/Razan, or Narbish. These improvements and you'll be smoking great. Never tried Gatorade in the base.
Epoch
The threaded part under the purge valve is a separate piece that you can unscrew. Use a wrench if you can't grip it. Lucy Ford
if you don't want to buy a windcover, try using one of those big arnold palmer cans. cut off the bottom and poke some holes on the upper part. used one last year when i could only smoke outside and it worked wonders
Genie
First thing I got for my Bambino was a new ash tray, it's gorgeous, I love it. It's bigger and the sides are curved so there is still easy access to the hose port. The Chic looks more stable than the Mya Bambino, but I'd still be cautious about using a heavy hose on it. Just something to think about. I use a plastic washable hose on my Bambino, has a much better draw than the Mya hose that came with the hookah. It's cheap and not at all luxurious, but the pull really is great and it is light enough that it could never pull my Mya over. Using one of my good hoses with the Mya is wonderful, though, I just have to be very mindful of the weight of the hose pulling against the hookah. A combo windcover bowl is pretty awesome for outside use, and the price is good. I use the windcover combo bowl a lot on the Mya. But a nice windcover looks so nice on top of any hookah. FYI: my XL windcover on my Mya's original ash tray is extremely unstable, but it fits well on the new ashtray I bought for it. I don't have a regular size windcover to test on the smaller ash tray. Hope this was somewhat helpful.
