The Greek
So i got my shipment from hookah-shisha yesterday and tested the stuff out. I got an extra auto seal valve for my mya chic, a windcover, cleaning brushes, 3 kings coals, and a vortex bowl. The vortex bowl was nice and was the first time that ive smoked and every bit of the tobacco was burned, it also produced some nice clouds. The windcover helped keep a lot of with heat retention. What do you guys prefer on a multiple hose hookah, auto seal valves or non, the auto seal one seemed to constrict airflow as it was harder to pull. Also, has anyone ever gotten a sore throat after smoking hookah?
IainUM
i have gotten a soar throat from hookah a couple times from continuing to smoke a really harsh bowl i would imagine that it might restrict airflow a little bit with that ball bearing, but i am sure it is worth it if multiple people are using both hoses i would prefer an autoseal if i had a multi-hose, cause i know a lot of my friends will forget to plug the hole when not smoking it
ezxen
Autoseal is great for multy hose.mymya artoo has autoseals except for my hose port
Chreees
I used to do auto-seals on my Mya QT, but the bearings kept getting stuck on my first one... The second QT I had they didn't get stuck, but I took them out anyway.
Epoch
Autoseal is pretty convenient for sharing a multi-hose hookah.
IainUM
i did forget how you can take the ball bearing out of them. atleast i think you can?
Click
I used to use my MYA QT with two auto seals, but I decided I don't really care if there is a second hose. So, now I just have the original non-seal port. I'm usually only smoking with 3-4 people so it's not that big of a deal.

ih303
I don't like multi-hose hookahs. I suppose I've just never seen the point. Seriously, how hard is it to pass a hose? With auto-seal ports you can't purge, and without auto-seal ports everyone has to keep their hoses plugged. (I can't tell you how many times I've looked like a total nub trying to plug three hoses in order to smoke the fourth.) Sure they make stoppers for the hose ports and plugs for the mouthpieces, but I don't want to mess with that stuff - too much hassle. We have two, four-hose "party hookahs" at my lounge and I've seen those get knocked over far more times than any single-hose. Why? How many times do you think I sell a four-hose hookah to only four people? Almost never. That means they're still passing their hoses. And when you have four hoses being passed, you end up with a big tangle with whatever else is on the table which leads to ultimate hookah chaos, i.e. broken phunnel bowls and holes in your new leather couches. On top of that, you're always trying to coordinate pulls. There's always that one guy who's oblivious to everything trying to take a pull while you are, and if you're smoking with girls it's inevitable that they will get up to go to the bathroom right before the rotation gets to you and you have to delegate someone else to plug the hose which they will of course see as a major inconvenience and give you a look like, "I came here to relax and you've got me doing all this work!"... Conversely, smoking a single-hose hookah as a group makes way more sense. It's more social. It requires more interaction while causing less chaos. Not trying to dog any multi-hose smokers here, just voicing my opionion.
dizzbizz
When I bought my Paragon I bought an extra autoseal for it and I like it. However I disagree with people saying its restrictive. I don't find it anymore restricted than a regular Mya valve, which isn't restrictive at all. Yeah, you can't purge but I hardly purge anyway. I think its fine and its pretty cool to have a two hose hookah. But you know whats cooler? Two hookahs going at once.
IainUM
i agree with ih303. i feel like if everyone has a hose to themselves it eliminates a certain amount of the social part of hookah. i find i talk the most when waiting for a hose and barely at all when i have a hose. then again i normally get called a chief if i hold a hose as long as i like to, so i try to smoke it a lot when it gets to me so i dont keep people waiting
hookah hippie
I agree as well that single hose is the way to go. All 12 of mine are single hose hookahs
DJ Kae Dae
I have about 3 single-hose hookahs that I've acquired over a 5 year span. Lately, it's been just my gf and I smoking in my room. I have quite a few hoses including a Mya, a Nammor, and a cobra hose; I bought the Nammor because it is washable and it draws really well. However, my girlfriend doesn't like it because she's more sensitive to the smoke and says she draws too much which she says has a harsh smoke. But when she smokes out of the mya hose, she has no problem. It's a bother when we end up having to switch from my Nammor to the mya because I love smoking with my nammor. That's my reason for looking for a double hose hookah...
