mushrat
there has been much talk about overheating tangiers and phunnels. This is a quick pic of the hookah i am presently smoking. Using exotica finger coals and getting good smoke.
Miss Crafted
I always under use coals. I can't stand things getting to cooked. I go with 1 whole coco, cut in to fourths. if that's too much i take one fourth off and use the wind guard. I'm pretty thankful there is now a wind guard available for the phunnels. Arcane
that's technically a little coal if you are referring to the mass....however, coal to foil contact seems to be nearly equivalent to 2 or 3 coconaras or canarys.
IainUM
lol i use one quicklight, sometimes broken in half
Stuie
I use 2 halves of a coco squares on a mini or 3 quarters of a cube. Perfect heat. Are those the new and improved Exoticas you are using, Mush?

Chreees
I use two coals on my mini, or three on my small. Or two and a windcover on my small. If I'm doing halves, I do three on my mini, four on my small.
mushrat
that's technically a little coal if you are referring to the mass....however, coal to foil contact seems to be nearly equivalent to 2 or 3 coconaras or canarys.
um, those pieces are quite small. I dobt if they equal more than one whole coconut coal. It was more a matter of showing how little actual coal you need for tangiers. And to answer an earlier question, using about that much coal and replacing them regualarly, this bowl can go 4 hours plus.
