Scarecrow
Would you rate this charcoal as better then Nour?
nuschultz
I remember asking u about these. I might just pick some up!
Catalyst Paintball
I don't have any experience with Nours. The one advantage I see Coconut Coals having over Nours, is the ability to break them. You could break of what you want with the Coconut Coals, and with ease at that. I've seen videos of people using finger coals throwing them against things to break off chunks.
Hookahnoob
So why were you getting tired of 3 Kings? They are the only thing I have tried so far and I think they do ok. I smoke in my room which is upstares from my kitchen and I dont think I like the idea of lighting naturals and walking them through the house everytime I want to smoke. yashman19
Another member here sent me his entire box of these coals because he didn't like them, and I have to say that yes, they are nice for breaking, but in my experience I was used to managing heat with typical natural finger coals, and I have to say that these burn MUCH hotter, so it wasa learning experience on how to use these without torching my bowl. As for the nat fingers, I haven't had a problem breaking them into managble pieces. Sometimes I break off pieces that arn't the best size on accident, but still nothing my buff-ness can't handle I'd give these coals a rating of 6-7 out of 10 though. Good coals, but not the best IMO. skiracerj1
I actually like these coals better than nour fingers, maybe its because i started on japanese coals, but I find heat managment much easier with these. As for the odor mentioned above, I've never noticed any, but then again my sense of smell has been off ever since I forgot to "waft" in chemistry freshmen year
Jeff_T
I also just got a box of these coals from hookahcompany with my order and so far really enjoy them. Before these i had a bag of Olive wood coals, i would def say i like these more, and although they do smell a bit while heating up, they are nowhere near as bad as the olive wood coals. So far it takes me about 5min to get these coals totally red with my portable-coil hotplate. Like stated earlier these have no effect on the flavor of the ma'assel being smoked and once lit they do not give off any odor, that i've noticed. I haven't tried the nour fingers, but i would def. recommend these to someone wanting to try some natural coals.
Tessai
The only good thing about those coals are that they sit easier on your bowls, but they burn too hot IMO. The fact that the bottom side does go cold and turn black sucks also. Once you try Nour fingered coals there is no comparison.
Sonthert
These might be the best reprocessed coals on the market, in my opinion, although I do find them a little hot, but overall fairly flavorless.
Buford
I used to cut Nours, but I've found them to snap prettty easily just using your hands. They don't have score marks, but it's not hard.
c4r80n
My nours seem to like the fall apart by themselves.cold= about 3-4"hot= 1.5-2"smoking=.5" nuggetsit just progresses naturally....kinda sucks when you're lighting them and trying to transfer them and they break in half spewing embers everywhere.when smoking they just kinda fall apart into half inch nuggets when trying to ash them.but i love them
