Funny Story About My Hookah

Recommended Posts

Okay so first off. I contacted a family friend like "hey, wanna check out my new hookah? I got this nice tobacco I use in it and I was wanting to get your opinion of it."

Now that that's out the way here's what happened. I went over to his house. Packed a bowl of this 360 Ocean Mist stuff which is REALLY good. So he takes a few puffs and I smoke the rest. I show his wife my hookah and she freaks out because it's a "party EDIT" and they both know I don't even smoke NHT (Non-Hookah Tobacco) anymore. Still she threatens to call the cops if I don't get it out her house so out of respect I leave. Albeit shaken up (because I'm on probate for an assault charge) I'm debating on taking it out again and smoking another bowl of it. Who here thinks that's bullsh*t and how many people have been stereotyped because of this misconception? Edited by INCUBUSRATM

Misconceptions about illegal substances happen all the time.

Just don't smoke at their place anymore...

I've had some people say mean things about pipe tobaccos with lots of latakia. They taste wonderful but some people think they smell like burning socks or a campfire.... or a campfire into which all the guys toss our grungy socks. You know you'll never get them clean again, so into the fire they go! Edited by noodle

Being on a college campus, I usually smoke a majority of my sessions on the weekends. This also happens to be the time for a TON of college visits from juniors in high school. Needless to say, I have made a police friend. He's the SAME guy hat comes out, and says "Looks like you've drawn some attention again. What flavor is it today?" We chat for a few minutes, then he goes about his business.

I suppose it's bullshit that ti happens. I don't mind at all actually, because i can give them fats and knowledge to change their opinions. Make sure you give them history, facts, cultural references, anything to show them you mean business. That's the most you can do, and it's the most effective thing.

EDIT: edited first, but accidentally replied. Then went back and fixed my shitty spelling errors. I hate University computers.

Exactly, knowledge is power. Unless someone is just totally close-minded and ignorant chances are that you can change their mind on some of the misconceptions they have about hookah.
