guest 606
I need you guys to clear something up for me por favor. So regarding nicotine content compared to cigarettes. I've heard from people that 250g of shisha contains less nicotine than one cigarette and i've heard that an hour sessions has the same nicotine content as 100 cigarettes. Please clear this up because i just want to start doing hookah as a social thing with friends and stuff. I don't want to get dependent on it like some of my friends that smoke cigarettes. I don't want to have to go on my break during work and have to have a hookah session.
TJ Perry
Ian hour sessions has the same nicotine content as 100 cigarettes.
Oh man that's awesome because, I've heard that you can kill a human being with the nicotine content of one ciggarette. I am very very dead if that's the case. Sariél
Hookah is bad for you. The nicotine in it is addictive. If you are weak willed and susceptible to such things, you will become addicted and die a lingering, painful death from lung cancer. On the bright side, it tastse good, and I find it very relaxing. lilotaku
Hookah will also steal your paper, kick your dog, and sleep with your girlfriend behind your back
Its true! Just the other day, i saw Hookah drag some old lady out of her car at a stop light and he drove off through a red light, ran over a baby seal, aborted a 3 month old phetus, let first-degree murderers out on furlough, steal candy from a baby and did not put up the toilet seat ALL AT THE SAME TIME!.....craziest thing i have ever seen. Hookahnoob
I just got beat up by my hookah... Domestic violence in hookah households is on the rise. I didn't have dinner ready for hookah when it got home and it sucker punched me. I am not going to file chargers because I LOVE my hookah.

Sonthert
Well, I would like to weigh in here...#1: Despite finger pointing, nicotine is not commonly accepted as a carcinogen, as far as I know. The evidence I read basically stated that a tertiary metabolite of nicotine WAS a carcinogen, but nicotine from patches or gum was not carcinogenic It is addictive. #2: A bowl of sheesha contains about as much nicotine as two or three packs of cigarettes. Alot.#3: Nicotine is a deadly poison. It is used as a pesticide (Trade Name Black Leaf 40) primarily in daries and breweries so that if it gets into a product intended for human consumption, it won't be lethal. Humans are remarkably immune to the effects of nicotine as a toxin (also, caffeine, yeah!) where as many animals are far more supceptible to nicotine and caffeine. LD50 is the the scientifically arrived at dose that will kill an average member of a particular species 50% of the time. Doses are given in mass of chemical/weight of animal...like 40mg/Kg...if Iweigh 100 Kg, I would needto consume 4g (4000mg) to have a 50% chance of dying. There are chemicals that humans are more supceptible to, like Zyklon B, the agent used by the Nazis to slaughter innocent concentration camp victems in WWII. Zyklon B is fairly toxic to humans, but rats can't live in the stuff, they are almost completely immune to it. Yes.
Sonthert
Correct that: rats can live in the stuff, they are almost completely immune to it.
Sariél
But rats are notoriously bad at heat management, and its really hard to find hoses with small enough mouthpieces.
