Genie
I live in southwest Texas and look forward to October every year, it's Monarch season! Well, for about three days. They're here right now, I ran out and shot a bunch of photos today. So, anyway, if Monarch migration interests you here are the first of the 2010 Monarch photos from my area. http://s269.photobucket.com/albums/jj72/genierobinson/2010%20Monarchs%20in%20Brackettville/

Genie
Thanks y'all, I just put some more images up from this afternoon. Probably my last chance to shoot them, unfortunately. Okay, Noodle, that image is insane. Makes me think of Flash Gordon.

mustafabey
I think they travel to Mexico, what a miracle, so fragile, so beautiful and they migrate 1000's of miles. Sometimes you have to bow your head in the silence of thanksgiving for the miracles of beauty we are privy to see.
Genie
Yup, most of them end up in Mexico. I hope I get to visit one of the Mexico Monarch reserves one day. I am stunned every year by their numbers and their determination.
