antouwan
i'm a foodie - i'll admit it. just as menus change with the seasons, to reflect local produce, have you guys noticed a change in your tastes in tobacco preference? this has happened to me the past couple of years. it's like the weather gets a little colder and i suddenly find myself craving earthier, heavier flavors. chocolate, k-cherry, and horchata are some of my staples for the latter half of october until about mid march. anyone else? any of these earthier flavors worth recommending? ih303
I'm the same way, but I consider Horchata to be more of a summer flavor since I used to buy horchata (the drink) at all the summer festivals I used to go to. During the cooler months we sell SB Pumpkin Spice (or is it Pumpkin Pie?). Anyway, it's a surprisingly good flavor. We've got a mix now where we mix it with Horchata which is pretty good. Another good Horchata mix is another one we've got on our "blends" menu this month (we change all the employee blends monthly); it's called "Twisted Sister" and it's 50% Horchata, 15% SB Pineapple, and 35% AF Orange. It's pretty damn good. We've also been selling more cinnamon and even a little more DA and Cardamom.
my mya was ruined for a few weeks because i couldn't get the fantasia pumpkin spice out of it. i had to soak it and then run it through the dishwasher. idk if this is just because of the rough edges inside the mya or what but i've avoided it ever since. it was good, but good enough to devote an entire pipe to? if i were back in leb, maybe, but they're just too expensive to do that here. i still need to try nak cinnamon. and grenadine/pomegranate is a pretty good one - i kinda forgot it, though. earl grey was a little over the top for me last time i had it, it needs to be mixed, imo. and ih303 - yeah, i know a couple of my mex buddies talking about horchata as a 'refrescante' but i just can't imagine spiced milk as something you drink after laboring during a hot day (which is what i think of when i think of 'refrescantes' it's weird to group horchata in the same category as lemonade, watermelon juice, and cantaloupe juice; the latter ones are what i think of when i hear 'refrescante'...oh, and beer.) Sapphire
Oh man.... it's totaly NOT like that. Horchatta is like Cinnamon Vanilla spice. Its AWESOME. No milkey flavor or even hinder in it. It's VERY good. Give it a shot. You won't regret it.
1) It's iced, and 2) It's not thick like milk. It's much thinner, and the flavors are more subtle than overpowering. Kind of hard to explain. Think... maybe coconut water. It's slight like that. Totally refreshing.
