GQ_Playboy
Hey guys, i was just tracking my hookah from HH.com and it got stopped at the border for inspection... i know i have to pay GST PST and brokerage.... but do you think ill be slapped with any other taxes?! and it has no reason not to pass customs right? I means.... its just a hookah and some tobacco! I called the guys over at sahara smoke and they said someone from customs called them yesterday asking what shisha was.... and if it was refillable etc. Should i be worried? i just want my hookah !!! gunsboy
Now that the F**ING customs have their hands on it ... you just sit and watch. If they suspect that you will be using it for commercial use you are screwed, thats alot of taxes especially on the tobacco. You should hope that the package was labelled correctly. Else, you will lose the shipment ... Why can't we just smoke in peace ...????
yashman19
Tobacco is not illegal to bring into canada, just gotta pay those outragous taxes, so be prepared to spread em... Other than that, it might get delayed a bit, but you should recieve everything no problem.

Sonthert
Lube up, Canadian Customs is on the prowl! Theres so many countries that are better off than the United States that have excessive excise taxes...excise taxes are stupid.
Soup
The Canadian tax on tobacco products is 18 cents/gram. Thats $45 of tax on a 250g box that can be bought for $10 online. If you are in the Vancouver area, there are tons of eastern stores that you can go to for you tobacco. The price will be higher than online but it shouldn't be too bad. They better let me get my shisha across or I could go into a deep depression state and then might become a serial killer ...

D15L
yes! my shipment is in canada now! checked my tracking and it said into foreign customs and now arrived abroad or something like that. Could anyone tell where in Canada do they ship it for customs and how long it would take? how long they hold it in customs? thanks!
D15L
sorry for the double post, but i contacted usps and they said that once it reaches canada, canada post delivers it? so would they still track my order until it reaches where i am?
nuschultz
Once it crosses over to Canada, chances are that you will not be able to track it. Try contacting Canadian Post anyway, just for giggles.
