Cloud9
Ordered a Mya Econo Black Diablo from ebay and just got it in the mail today. http://cgi.ebay.com/Mya-Econo-Black-Diablo-24-inch-Hookah-/220684921712?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&NHT (Non-Hookah Tobacco)=item3361d8ab70 This thing looks really nice...but the only problems is that the ash tray part doesn't fit secure. I don't know if I'm missing a piece to hold it down but it just wiggles around right now. I'm gonna go through and check the box again to see if I missed something. Need to get this problem solved and get this thing smoking ASAP!
Allstar
That is common man. Some will wiggle a little. That is a great looking hookah. Enjoy it.
jorlyfish
Mine wiggles too. I wouldn't worry about it.
Cloud9
Thanks. Also..one other question. I cant get the stem to fit all the way down on the base. Is this common for new hookahs? I used alot of force to get that thing to go all the way down...but maybe the rubber grommet (or whatever it is that seals the vase) is just new and needs time. Not sure. When I blow into the hose I can feel air coming out between the stem and the base. Any suggestions?
dizzbizz
What does the grommet look like? It sounds like it's too big. Try wetting the grommet and then putting it in. The good ol' lube trick.
Allstar
From what I can see in the picture it is one of those white rubber ridge grommets that can easily be removed. I have had some contact with this. What I had to do is leave the last ridge and a half hanging off of it when I put it in the base. This allowed the base to force it back up into its best position. If it is not and it is hard rubber and stuck in position, just put a wet paper towel in between the base and the stem. That should help.

One is to get the base grommet really hot (by setting it hot water) before putting it in the vase. Another thing is to cut it down with an X-acto knife so the whole thing will fit down in there--do this carefully! Yeah, I know, I don't have to say that. You might try ordering a couple extra grommets, one from another company might fit better. The vase itself may have a rather crooked opening, take a close look at it, you might just need to shave one part of the grommet away so that it will fit over some bump in the glass. You may have to shave it down more than you like if the vase opening is very misshapen, good thing is that you can use wet paper towel around the grommet to get a tight seal since it will conform to the odd shape. I've only been smoking for a couple of years though, some of the old-timers may very well have better advice.
TheyCallMeDave
Putting water on the stem will give lubrication for the two. Also, don't push the stem on, twist it into the base. Once FULLY connected, if there is still a air leak, try using a paper towel as said before. Electric tape around the grommet also works really well. I'll wait for everything to cool and take it apart for my new session. Everything works great...and I know once I get this problem fixed it'll only smoke better. Tried the starbuzz code 69 and didn't like the flavor that much. Gonna run down the street and get my favorite, blue mist. I'll check back later and let you know how everything goes. So far it's a great hookah. The base is a hell of alot bigger than what the picture shows lol.

Does it come apart like regular Myas?
Lucy Ford
My chick bought this hookah this summer and when we took it back to smoke, the top wasn't fitting right. You could feel a lot of air and it would spin freely. Listen to Dave up there, electric tape works wonders my friend
