Hookah On Etsy

Recommended Posts

i was looking around on etsy and came across this hookah

http://www.etsy.com/listing/60387340/breathe-hookah-w-three-kings-coals?ref=sr_gallery_7&ga_search_query=hookah&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=&includes%5B0%5D=tags&includes%5B1%5D=title

i doubt it's anything great but it looks pretty damn nice and thought i would share it with anyone who like collecting hookahs or is interested in one for a display

I think it's freaking gorgeous. And even if it turned out to be a lousy hookah for smoking, I'd happily keep it around just to look at. If I had money to blow on a massive hookah collection, this one would be added to it pronto.

So, anybody ever tried one of these instead of foil? cute idea...just a piece of hardware screen...

If you try this at home do NOT use galvanized. Heating it up will very likely produce poison gas that will KILL you. Dead. I am NOT joking here. Never heat Galvanized metals.

Very good to know, I wouldn't have known that it mattered. Of course I scampered off and read up on it after reading this. I ordered the screen 'cuz I just have to know how it works compared to foil--the seeker in me insisted. I sent them a message to find out if they knew whether or not it was galvanized. Do they even galvanize brass screen? No idea. I have a feeling they won't know so, to be sure, I'll soak it in vinegar for a day or two to remove any possible galvanization before I use it. I could care less what it makes the screen look like.

I'd have just bought some brass screen at the local hardware store... if we had a local hardware store that carried brass screen. Ahh, life in rural America.
