Unwashable Hoses And Assigning Flavors

Recommended Posts

So as some of you saw I just got my Lebanese argileh with its very small hose port. I got Lebanese hose (like HookahJohn's Syrian Beater) and a Mya Wide that fit. KMs, Narbs, etc, don't.

I smoke mainly: grape,grape/mint, DA, melon, and various other fruits plain or combined with mint inlesser frequency. I've never done the assigning flavors thing since I've always had washable hoses, but now I have two that are unwashable. I was thinking the Myaf or DA and the Leb for everything else, since I don't mind a hint of mint in general, but I feel DA ghosting would be bad with other fruits. In your esteemed opinion, should mint have its own hose? I'm strongly tempted to buy the Beater from John but shipping to the UK is not so fun.

I'm STILL considering getting the Elmas, which would add another unwashable hose, but the temptation to get it is less now that I have my Lebanese. The other issue is I doubt I will be in the UK past Christmas, and will be back at least for a bit in the States where I can get stuff cheaper and already have a big-ported nargile with a Narbish, as well as a Temsaah hose that fits a small port. It's not like I smoke every day either.

So what do you think:1 hose for DA, 1 for fruit/mint; Get another hose and/or nargile; or wait till I'm in the US and get a hose then

If you create an account on the tangiers website you can access the members discussion, in there is a "color coding system" that eric has devised. It deals with using separate hookahs for separate flavor groups but the idea can be applied to hoses. So you can look at the list of flavor groups he has come up with and use each hose accordingly.

(You'll have to log in to the tangiers site for that link to work though)
