Sapphire
Has anyone ever put a tiny bit of Dry Ice in the vase during a session? A friend told me he does this and it keeps the water cooler longer and looks awesome. But wouldn't that cause too much pressure of some sort? explode the vase? And isn't that kind of dangerous? Arcane
pretty sure your friend is lying or extremely exaggerating... considering that the body is designed to expel carbon dioxide and not intake it, breathing in a fairly concentrated amount for a few hours would most likely lead to hypercapnia... From Wikipedia: Hypercapnia can induce increased cardiac output, an elevation in arterial blood pressure, and a propensity toward arrhythmias. In severe hypercapnia (generally PaCO[sub]2[/sub] greater than 10 kPa or 75 mmHg), symptomatology progresses to disorientation, panic, hyperventilation, convulsions, unconsciousness, and eventually death.... ggs... noodle
Dry ice would be okay only in the chiller bucket. Putting it in the vase is asking for trouble. Have you ever opened a bottle of soda and inhaled the vapors that immediately come out? Remember the choking sensation? That's what you'll get if you put dry ice in the vase. Venger
dry=co2 burning coal = co2 you are doubling the co2 and limiting your oxygen. I fear you will get very sick. Ray
Josh Hamilton
ok guys I survived....so its safe...Im living testimony of this being safe as hookah jk I just put it in the chiller...looked like it was in the freezer...ooooo ...little kids (ages 5ish-6ish) wanted to puff it so bad...bad ass oh I was joking aka jk...so
Sapphire
LOL.. ok thanks guys. That was kinda my thinking too. I figured it is possible that it could blow your vase up or something. Idiot probbly is a noob to hookah and trying to show off how cool he is. I know my brother used to use Dry Ice at the Vet to put animals to sleep, so I figured it had to be a dangerous game either way. Not worth the " looking cool" part... when you end up " looking dead" instead.

Epoch
I wonder if fog would pour out of the hose and purge? There's only so much air pressure that will hold in the vase.
