joanna
I've switched to Nakhla and Tangiers recently, but I have a lot of leftover Fantasia that I would like to use since I'm poor and can't afford shisha that often. The problem is that I'm having a really hard time getting any smoke out of it. I know the clouds might never be as good as Nakhla or Tangiers, but what I'm getting is close to nothing. I'm using a small phunnel, and I usually start with 2 halves of coco naras. Thanks for all of your help!
Miss Crafted
Fantasia uses more heat than Tangiers. Add another half of a coal, or a smaller bowl; if you have one.
jorlyfish
I used to smoke some Fantasia (largely because the lounge where I went when I first started smoking served it) and always got good clouds from it. Since you've switched to Nak and Tangiers, both of which are packed quite tightly, it may feel weird not packing Fantasia - I know when I go to make a bowl of something else I have to remind myself not to actually "pack" it down. Just kind of place it in there - not super fluffy, but don't pack it down either. Just kind of plop it in - goodness knows it's wet enough to make fluffing difficult anyway. It also seems like you might not have enough heat...? I can't remember how much heat I used, but it was certainly more than that. Try adding another half coco, or maybe even just add a windcover, and see what happens.
joanna
Thanks, ladies! I've always been afraid to add more coals in case it burns. I guess I've been too careful...
jorlyfish
If it starts to taste harsh, just move the coals further toward the edge (hanging off, even) or take one off. It's not unfixable.
Click
Fantasia requires a buttload of heat compared to even SB. Like mentioned above, I would try 3 halves and maybe even a windcover for the first few minutes.
agunn1231
just experiment with heat. I've been changing up the heat every session
Lucy Ford
i had fantasia fuzzy navel and never got it to smoke very good. the best i did only lasted for a few minutes then it burnt badly. just experiment with different amounts of heat and when i used an arnold palmer can as a windcover it seemed to keep heat in better. Nima
I agree that fantasia uses more heat than other tobacco. I'm not a big fan of their fruity flavors in general either.
