Epoch
The brass on your hookahs looks incredible.... What do you use to clean and polish them?
mitchard
Bar Keeper's Friend. Available in most stores in the cleaning section. It comes as a power, which you apply to a damp rag. Polish it up, clean it off, and you are good to go. Its fairly easy to use, and doesnt stink like Brasso. Plus I think it works better than Brasso anyways. Chreees
Shit, Brasso smells? I just picked some up this morning after work... I should've gotten Bar Keeper's Friend. I need some for my bathtub anyway, haha. All I've ever used before is this metal polisher stuff my friend gave me; can't remember what it's called. But it was good stuff. I'll try the Brasso today on my OG Tri just because I don't feel like going back out today, and I'll pick up some BKF later on. Thanks for the recommendation Mitch. Yo brass looks clean, son! mitchard
Yeah, Brasso is a pretty heavy cleaner smell/fume wise. Make sure you use it in a ventilated area, or even better, outside.

Chreees
Hey Mitch I went ahead and used the Brasso and it worked really well. Smell wasn't that bad, and went away instantly when I polished it off (didn't retain the smell on the hookah any). I was quite impressed with it. Polished up the OG Tri quite nice. I fell in love with her all over again. I'm going to polish up the regular trimetal too for whoever buys it. I still want to try BKF in the future, though. Like I said, gotta pick some up for my bathtub anyway.
mitchard
Yeah, Brasso works fine. The smell wont linger of course, but the substance is pretty strong. Gives me a headache when I use it.
Chreees
Yeah it was a pretty funky smell, but it didn't bother me really. Maybe that's cause I was smoking out of the regular Tri while doing it, lol. I'm pretty tired, and Lucid actually buzzed me a bit this time. Plus I was chain hitting it. For all I know, its probably just a name a vendor slapped onto it. But I like it.
mustafabey
What about the hose on the Elmas, that is such a great hose, did it come with it? Can I get one somewhere?

Can I get one somewhere? [/quote] It is a great hose. I recently did a little work on it which made it smoke even nicer than before. There was one site selling similar hoses for $45 or so. I'll see if I saved the link when I am at home.

mitchard
Well, the hose was always pretty restrictive. I used a KM with the pipe, and it was great. I figured it was the mouthpiece, but I took it off and tested the draw... still pretty bad. So I stuck something down the port end of the hose, and a chunk of wood popped out haha. Not sure how it got there. Might have been from Elmas, might have been from the lady who I bought it from. She did have it in the garage after all. But either way, the flow is much nicer.
