Tom1
Wait wait... Akhlas are the best QL coals I have used and whats wrong with me starting a new thread? It does happen now and then.
They're not bad, on par with 3k and golden rolls but from my experience they are prone to shatter very badly.
mushrat
is there are ql is ISN'T prone to shattering?
Tom1
is there are ql is ISN'T prone to shattering?
Other than CH, not really. It seemed to me though the way that the akhla is very granulated then pressed makes them more likely to explode into a lot of little pieces rather than shatter into chunks like other QL's. Although I've only seen this happen from user error like dropping one or squeezing the tongs too hard.
mushrat
hmm..i dont use ql's much.. But i havent noticed Akhlas any MORE prone to shattering than say 3kings. Now i have used some ql's before that exploded is you looked at them too hard.
Tom1
I'm not even gonna go there, some of the shitty QL brands I've tried are more like horror stories.
