oh yeah. there are no actually functioning grommets/gaskets for the leb pipes because there don't really seem to be standard sizes for ANYTHING. one of the leb pipes i used to have had a ridiculous opening at the top. it took almost a whole sheet of paper towel to get a good seal on it.

now...is that rust? or you just like not cleaning it?

Actually there definitely are grommets, I just don't know the Arabic word for it. Next friend or relative you have going to Leb, see if they can pick you up some. I feel you on the inconsistent sizes though - my new one has an opening for the bowl that is far too narrow, and actually with a grommet on it has to be jammed in. For the record, my other two are fine

no rust. being brass, it gets tarnished easily. i just cleaned it like 3 days ago... it's all good though

i know there are grommets - they just don't function. all my relatives just use ripped cloth.or wet cloths.

i was at work so i was a little scatter brained with my response.

yeah there are grommets, and the ones for the head work decently enough, but for some reason, the ones for the hoses are too big with this argile.

none of them use them, like i said. custom ripped cloths that they reuse...until they get disgusting.

my cousin has an arageel he brought from leb that he cant use ANY gaskets on the head. he literally just puts the head straight into the stem - no grommets. it smokes pretty well, surprisingly.

Yeah, true about head vs hose grommets - the narrow hose ports can't take them at all. The bigger ones can, but I actually feel the wet paper towel seals better

I so agree with paper towels working better, I think they conform better to the opening.

Also the thing I love about wet paper towels as a bowl grommet is that when the liquid leaks form the bowl (when not using a phunnel) the paper towel absorbs the liquid, this way when I have to take the bowl off to change flavors or blow the stale smoke out of the bowl I can put the bowl back on the stem with no issues, I know that with a rubber grommet if the liquid is on the grommet it is harder to get a good seal. This is of course for all the male stems. Anyway, paper towels for the win, best thing period.
