echo 1 although there is no heating involved...and asides from the BPA....some people say the acidic nature of the tobacco can mix with the plastic hence changing the flavor characteristics of the smoke...ziploc bags can work out too>and is somewhat of a a space saver

HookahLover25
I keep mine on the original plastic bag the tobacco came with. Then put it on a ziploc bag and then put it on a Ziploc tupperware http://thekrazycouponlady.com/2010/05/20/ziploc-containers-0-24-at-safeway/ Love this container. Hassouni
If it's Nakhla, I stick the box in a ziplock, if it's AF, I seal the bag back up then close the tub, if it's tangiers - in a tupperwear that I also use for acclimating. That's really all I smoke

Venger
big humidity difference between the fridge and the room. The freezer is even worse.have you ever had an ice that's been sitting in the fridge a really long time.it gets smaller and smaller as all its moisture is sucked out. I keep mine in glad lock containers in a 3 drawer plastic rollie drawer thing from walmart. Ray
kmccoy90
im curious why some are so against the fridge storage.
The refrigerator is dry. The reason why they're so good at preserving foods is because they're cold and dry. Warm temperature and moisture are the destroyers of food quality and the bringers of mold and disease. We don't really have to worry about any of that with our tobacco. If the shisha is unopened, storing it in the fridge will do no harm. Keep in mind, however, the shelf life of shisha is years, and you shouldn't have any worry of it "going bad." Once the shisha is open putting it in the fridge will just suck the moisture right out of it. Shisha doesn't need much in the way of preservation to begin with, so the fridge really does more harm than good. As long as it's stored in a place without extreme temps or rapid changes in extreme humidities, the tobacco will be just fine. Put them in air tight containers, i.e. Tupperware or Gladware, and you're even better off. I just stick them in size-appropriate Tupperware containers, leave them in the drawer.
