Nour Vs Nawras

Is there a differnce between the quality of Nawras and Nour? Nour seems to be half the price, and I was worried that the price may also reflect the quality.

I remember Hookah John saying they are very close in quality. The designs are almost identical.

I know the Nawras have slightly larger hose ports.

According to Eric of Tangiers, the Nawras John has are a little bit better in quality than the Nours. He would know. John will tell you this as well.

Nour's an importer...Nawras is a manufacturer.

a Nawras made pipe imported by Nour is a called a Nour by some people, a Nawras by others...it's all just a name nowadays.

I own both a new Nour, as well as the Nawras. The Nawras feels a bit more solid, and is much heavier. Part of that can be attributed to the overall size difference though.

If I had to pick, I would go with the Nawras. It seems like a higher quality pipe in general. They both smoke about the same though.

I like the idea of a $60/$65$/70 hookah (NOUR), $115 ($55,$50,$45 difference) seems a little steep for such a slight difference. Is it really only weight and a slightly larger hose part by nawras.

Yeah man, honestly me I'd just get the Nour... Then again, I'm a broke college student. Not like the Nour's going to be crap and not smoke good for you. They're good hookahs. Honestly, I want this one pretty bad:

Price difference... I'd go with the Nour. Plus I like it better in brass.

EDIT: Well shit. Nour's out of stock anyway.... Me personally that's the only style of Nour/Nawras that I like. All the other styles do not intrigue me whatsoever. But if there's one you like, go for it.

i prefer the nawras. heavier and better ports. also, very limited. one way to put it, i didn't care for syrian hookahs, i sold any that i have had years ago, they were nours. once i got my hands on my nawras i have been using it almost daily. still love my km's and have a few, they are always available to sell bc i can easily replace them, however, the nawras i have now will stay with me for a long time.

Haven't gotten my hands on a Nawras, but I do have 2 Nours. One being from 2005, and another purchased about a month or so ago.
I prefer the '05 Nour over any of my pipes.
Honestly, when it comes to the quality of pipes that is being discussed, they all smoke about the same. Little differences may they be, they are just that......Little differences. Preference really comes into play when talking about the mentioned pipes.

Though I'll probably grab a Nawras in the near future, just to see for myself if I am right.

I feel the same way about my old Nour. I own an '05-'06 Nour, and one of the newer ones John has. Both smoke about the same, and are similar in many ways aside from the overall design. They are both about the same height, but the old one is much heavier than the new one.

However, I perfer the old one by far? Why? I dont know to be honest. Its a nicer looking pipe in general, but I think its mainly because it was my first "nice" hookah.
