John'S Beater Hose

Recommended Posts

I got one of John's beater hoses, and I am incredibly unhappy with the hose part of it. Not only does it leak like crazy, but it also smells foul, like they rubbed these things against a camel. Whatever material they're made from is nasty stuff.

I did manage to pop the large handle and hose port handle off to use with another hose. I'm thinking about maybe making a guide on how to do this, and make them snazzy with new plastic tubing, some material to wrap them with, and possibly make them washable by inserting plastic tubing inside the wood parts.

Yeah maybe. I could buy a bunch of John's beaters and replace the hose and maybe spiffy them up so they look better. Leak proof, maybe washable, with cool wooden handles. But with convoluted polyethylene tubing, and in different colors. Sadly, they would probably cost upwards of $30 to sell 'cause of having to buy them at full price, then add new parts to them.
