JDHarding
My usual amount of smoking time is 20 minutes. Is there such a thing as a 20 minute coal? Do those japanese silver coals only last 20 minutes? I only need about 20, then I'm done, but John's coals last quite a bit longer than that. I guess I could split 'em up, but then the smoke is kinda weak.
jorlyfish
Wait, you only smoke 20 minutes at a time? Why?
JDHarding
It's about all I need. Why sit there puffing for an hour?
srawas89
You could try 3 kings quick lights, though I dont know about your opinion on quick lights. All I know is that they last generally about 30min and if they are still lit and you run water over them they disintegrate into a powdery water solution. [/quote] Huhwhat?!?! Of course none of us NEED to sit there puffing for an hour but it's a nice way to sit and unwind to sit and smoke for a nice 1-2 hour session whenever life allows! I would feel cheated if I only got to smoke for twenty minutes at a time!
IainUM
3kings'll probably do it for ya. i find myself lighting new coals every 30 minutes or so
agunn1231
when i cut cocos into fourths and put 3/4 on the bowl it lasts about 20 minutes before the coals get too small
Chreees
For the effort of packing a bowl, I better get to smoke more than 20 minutes. I'd use 3Ks...
JDHarding
Just tried cutting John's coals.. is this a new recipe? They don't frikkin cut!
IainUM
yeah, he recently released a new version of them made to light with a regular lighter. dunno that it would make much of a difference as far as cutting them, though
Chreees
I've never gotten CH coals to cut very well...I only cut CCN flats.

jorlyfish
I get CH naturals to cut okay (they usually don't cut in a straight line like CCN's do - but it's really not a big deal to me) but I haven't tried CH QLs.

Necron99
There are times when I'd like a quick Hooka smoke, but that just ain't the point of hooka. For those times, I fire up my briar pipe.

indian_villager
The japanese coals will last you just a wee bit longer than what you are looking for. But they do get pricey.

boludo
I would go with jap coals... they will last about 20 minutes, and you won't get the horrible taste of the quicklights...
ukhookah
Nour or abu alabed. I think there the same thing. U get ridges on them. And for naturals they light up pretty fast compared to coconut coals. U can cut 3 small pieces of these naturals as marked on the ridges and they are good to go
