So, the other day i got on my girlfriend's sister's laptop to search something. To my surprise, she had google chrome. I didn't think that it had really caught on even though i swear by it. It got me thinking and i was wondering what internet browser you guys use nowadays?
feel free to discuss pros-cons.

Chrome. I love Firefox and all, but it's a larger program. I'm the type to have 80 million processes running (and often memory sucks like Photoshop) so for this reason, I prefer Chrome. It's also customizable like Firefox (and they have some of the same extensions, like AdBlock) but not to the same degree Firefox is.
I switch back and forth some though - I've run across a few websites that run kind of funky on Chrome.

Back when the forum showed what browser you used, I was constantly ridiculed for having IE. In fact at one point there was a thread that was created in order to bash all Safari and IE users, it got so bad I ultimately succumbed and started using Chrome and have never looked back... well at least I hadn't until this thread was brought up.

I've run Firefox for years but I'm going to download Chrome and give it a try. Real problem is I'm too rural and mountainous for any other kind of service besides dial up.

+1 on this on my outdated laptops...it IS FAST!!! and its much much much better than chrome

BUT

I use FFX on my faster PC which can handle the bloatware of FFX (memory hog! PIG!!!!)...so FFX (depends) > OPERA > CHROME > IE

although I think IE is very usable...they just have a bad history with security....FFX wins coz it has more addons and very useful ones hands down

although system wise I think OPERA is very light on memory usage...and looks really good...im actually using it now...

I'm shocked.  People that actually use Opera!  I just love it.  I've used FF and Chrome both for years and I still always come back to Opera.  Opera 11 should come out soon as it is currently in beta.

Just look how sexy it is.

I've just downloaded Opera! I am amazed at how much my speed has improved. Its going to take awhile to transfer everything and get used to but it sure beats the crap outta Firefox and I'll forget Chrome. Thanks for the recommendations

Well I made it look like that.  I changed the appearance theme and made it black.  I put the personal bar/favorites on the left side and as icons only to save space.

Check out the different ways to search in the address bar and other ways.

AND make sure you use mouse gestures.  They are the best!   http://www.opera.com...rials/gestures/

Also, check out the different appearance themes.  Press Shift + F12 to bring up the appearance menu.  Click on the 'Find More Skins' bubble.  My favorite two are Omelion and Z1-Glass.  After you choose a skin, you can change the color of it and the icon size.  I personally like the Gold color with 50% icons.

If you accidentally closed a tab and want to bring back the page you can click on the top right 'Closed Tabs' button next to the minimize button.  You will see all the tabs you have closed this session.  A quick way to bring the most recent tab back is Ctrl + Shift + T.

There are so many things you can do in Opera that FF and Chrome require you to get extensions for.  And native actions most always work more efficient and better than third-party extensions.  Just check out how many things you can do when you highlight a word/phrase and right click on it.

i'm giving Chrome a whirl right now...it seems a lot slower than Firefox...so, I'm not really digging it. It's got some nice extensions though...

I used to use Opera back in the day, but it always seemed a step behind with compatibility...i'll give it another shot soon...
