Inara'S Hookah In Firefly

In the show Firefly Inara has a hookah in her shuttle. Anyone have any idea what kind it is? I've been rewatching it on DVD and it keeps bugging me everytime they show it!

That kind of looks like a temsah... I could be horribly wrong, but the stem part closest to the base before the tray looks a lot like the part on my temsah

Yeah, it does have Temsah qualities to it. Was wondering if anybody could pinpoint exactly what it is, if that's even possible...

haha, man i been wondering the same thing, noticed it in serenity(sp?). but it looks like they have a better view of it in firefly. might have to check it out.

WHOA! I was just watching that show and noticing that ALL the hookahs have their ashtrays removed. And I can't figure out why.

Is it me, or is that tray misplaced...
could be an unknown Egyptian brass km (the heart kinda looks like my brass km), mind you that there are many MANY different types of kms that never made it to America.

the tray looks like it's down underneath the hose port.

correct me if wrong, but i believe a lot of AF hookahs have those bottom trays.

that being said, i dont think it is an AF hookah, but i am no expert

I don't know man, i've owned the large af solid, and that bottom tray was HUGE, also iirc the bottom tray did not have a dip as the top tray would, it was purely aesthetics.
I say they didn't set up that tray in the right area, i mean look at the tray holder thing, it just looks normal.

Yeah the tray is in the wrong place... Definitely not an AF.

Ezxen, it's two tiers man, all brass. Although, that's a pretty sexy hookah too...

by no means was i suggesting it was an AF, just pointing out that the bottom tray thing is out there somewhere. lol

i didnt know the AF's bottom trays were normally bigger, though. someone probably just didnt know how to set this one up for the show. do they actually use it or is it just like a background prop?

I remember seeing that a while ago...I think that it looks like a temsah, but the cut to the tray holder reminds me of KM

Yeah I know man. I didn't think you were suggesting that it was an AF.

This topic actually popped up on another forum, which will remain unknown, and everyone on there was saying, "Looks like an AF to me." I about laughed my ass off at the ignorance.

To me, it looks KM/Temsah/Egyptian, but has a Syrian style hose port. Can't ever get a good look at the purge to make a decision on that.
