I did some research I don't understand why people are so against smoking it in a car or on the go. There are Hookahs available where there is no way to drop the coal so its pretty safe.

I've run this through before and I'm pretty vocal about it, but here we go, one more time for the learning disabled.

If I'm in the car you hit, write your future off before you even open the door, because I will sue you and everything you have now and a substantial part of your future earnings are going to go to me because any jury is going to give me every dime I asked for plus some for your stupidity in having a lit hookah in your car. Doesn't matter if you were "really" at fault or not. The cop who investigates will back me as the poor victim of your distracted driving, and the jury will award maximum penalty, plus you get to listen to the judge tell you what a complete jackass you were.

Still think it's worth the "coolness"???????

Yep, you can go after them in regular civil court, for their personal finances. Your insurance policy would only deal with the damage to the other car, injury, etc. Generally, they settle for their maximum liability and leave the policy holder hanging out to dry for the rest of it. Your personal possessions and earnings both present and future are still up for grabs. Or did you think all those lawsuits clogging our courts were for entertainment value?????

I agree completely Rani!! A car is not the place for a hookah! There are enough distractions on the road without having one more thing to worry about.

Lol, don't you have a pic of you on here with a hookah in a car? Oh wait, maybe the car wasn't moving... I don't know.

Here's an idea for a long road trip........ Take your hookah with you and your favorite tobacco. All in a closed up case. When you''re a few hours into the trip and getting tired, pull over at the next rest stop or scenic vista. Break out the hookah and relax for an hour before packing it up and hitting the road again. There are a couple advantages :

1) You break up the trip so it does seem more relaxing than stressful.
2) You enjoy a beautiful view as part of your smoking experience.
3) There are usually bathrooms nearby and often picnic tables as well. Have a snack, hit the head before getting back on the road.
4) You'll be guaranteed to make some new friends. Those who know hookah will come over to talk. Those who don't will come over to find out what the heck you're doing.
5) Once the nicotine buzz evaporates, you're still hyped a bit, so you're less likely to get drowsy on the remainder of the trip.

See I have no objection to hookahs on road trips. Just do it right.
