Tobacco Sale Ban

Recommended Posts

recently shops have been banned from selling all flavored tobacco products (other than cigs)such as cigars and HOOKAH TOBACCO in NYC, other tobacco products include moist smokeless tobacco like snus. i tried buying some starbuzz a few day backs and the only thing they could sell to me was mint since the only "flavor" that isnt banned is mint, wintergreen or menthol flavors. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION

how stupid all it does is take revenue out of the local economy and raise exspences on consumers.

Hookahset has moved to there other locations on long island and new jersey

Things like this is one reason to start liking unflavored moassel like zaghloul and salloum plain

Wow this is sad! I will be happy to sign the petition. Are you still allowed to receive tobacco from websites? I know in WA people can only receive Herbal when they order online unless it's shipping to a business address.

It's not just the meddling in my hobby, but the general "We'll tell you how to live your life" that pisses me off the most. Even though I'm on the opposite coast in California, this pisses me off. We need to get a movement going to reverse this sort of shit. A couple months there was some federal law passed that forbade mail order, and therefore internet order, of sniffing snuff. I like that every now and then when I can't sit down for a proper smoke. Now I can't get it anymore except what happens to dribble into the local tobacconist, which isn't much if at all. I'm going to miss the good Wilson's of Sharrow snuff when mine runs out. Edited by noodle

the louges and bars were allowed to stay and you can always order your tobacco from websites, but this really killed the small shops that i would walk into once in a while and smell/sample new flavors before buying. i dnt understand why bloomberg had to do this but itd be nice to get some signatures going and email my petition to bloomberg

THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT

As a non-cigarette smoker, I don't understadn this.
Flavoured tobacco is bad, but regular old cigarettes and menthol are AOK?

Sorry, you lost me....

i kno it rlly doesnt make any sense and theres no logical reasoning behind banning "flavored" tobaccos....

maybor bloomberg has a bad habit of simply prohibiting things he personally dislikes... first he decided to tax tobacco out the @ss and now hes banning flavored tobaccos... just because hes a billionaire doesnt mean he has any right to do this. tobacco companys have alrdy filed law suits since this doesnt seem constitutional at all. hopefully this ban is lifted before i run out of my stash :(

How does this stop anybody from smoking? I guess most ppl already get their stuff over the internet since it's usually alot cheaper than the local stores. But this is a real pain when you're out of tobacco and just want to grab 1 flavor until your next order ships in or whatever. I am really pissed since I wanted to stash up at hookahset when I am in NY for Christmas -.-

Maybe if this gets widespread enough they will sell shisha in 2 parts. part 1 being the dry tobacco. part 2 would be the flavoring and such.

That could reduce the amount that shisha costs due to taxes (esp with that new tax they are proposing) and get around new laws.
