ryno
I've actually had better luck packing Tang in my Mini Egyptian, so right now its the only bowl I'm using and I love it; Its the perfect size.
The mini ones that are big enough to fit a coal on? I have one and its actually really good with Tangiers too.
thatonethere
I have a few favorites(other than the small tang): My alien mini, a mini mod I picked up at a local shop, and large egyptian. All are great for Nakhla, and the mini is really good for a short Tang session.
TweakX4
ok, here's a bit of a noob question. what's the difference between bowls, such as the mod, egyptian, and syrian?
dizzbizz
ok, here's a bit of a noob question. what's the difference between bowls, such as the mod, egyptian, and syrian?
The main difference is the clay they're made from. Thats why, I'm sure you've read, everyone gets Tangiers funnels and nothing else. Eric uses a certain clay for the bowl that retains heat and distributes heat better. Not to mention the bowls you listed also have different shapes, hole placements, ect. The clay they're made out of is key though. Thats why I like my egyptian bowls so much. The distribute the heat the most efficiently, I think. ukhookah
Talkin of bowls, I don't really see the point of the superchief. Why would anyone want that when a tangiers small phunnel offers the same and more.
it's more of a novelty aspect.... if i remember correctly, the phunnel was an improvement over the superchief. production focused on the phunnel and dwindled on the sc. it goes along the same lines as those with a mini phunnel. it doesn't really make that much of a difference, except to add a few milimeters to your e-peen.
As an owner of a mini phunnel the extra millimeters were well worth the price of the bowl. When I first got the mini thats the only bowl I would use. I've since went back to my trusty small phunnel, its just easier to throw three cocos on the small instead of using three or four halves on the mini. Its probably been over a year since I've used my mini phunnel.
