Hj Alien Phunnel Vs Small Phunnel Bowl

hey guys im about to order one of these bowls Here is what i know, the alien uses less tobacco (how much less?) I have heard that the small phunnel smokes a little better and for longer due to more tobacco. My question is should i get a hj alien phunnel or a small tangiers phunnel? If i use the tea light mod on the small phunnel will it use a similar amount of tobacco as the alien while still smoking well? If it matters i have a km black ice and a nammor hose. I will mostly be smoking al fakher and nakhla but i will be ordering tangiers with it and if i like it will probably switch to tangiers.

IMO, the small phunnel with the tealight mod smokes better than the HJ Alien. Small with tealight mod and HJ Alien will be using about the same amount of tobacco. Also, for me, the flavor seems more intense with the tealight, since you are forcing the air to go through the tobacco.

Also, another thing to consider is the Crown Micro Phunnel. Many people here on the forum think it smokes better than the Alien. IIRC, it's about the same price as the Alien. Oh, and HookahLover25 said on HF Chat earlier that right now they're running a special where if you buy one, you get the second one half-off.

as true as what chris said probably is, i have an hj mini and i love it. i think the moral of the story is that any of these options will make you happy and at the very least do the job they are supposed to

honestly i would say tang small phunnel.. with tea light mod you can save some shisha but still have the choice of taking it out and smoking for longer. Also since you like to smoke AF i would use a small instead of HJmini becuase its so shallow that the juice boils up on top of foil and burns rather bad..nasty taste. of course thats prolly cause i over pack my mini Hj. Ive never used the crown bowl so unsure there but i say

If you're going to only order a bowl, I'd say go with the crown hookah. They're so bad ass. If not, I'm not too sure. I have a small tangiers phunnel and it smokes pretty great, but ordering Tangiers shisha is a rarity for me so I don't like to waste a ton of it on one bowl that never gets fully cached. Thats the only problem I have with my small tangiers phunnel, is that whatever I pack in there, I use a good amount of tobacco and it never gets completely used. I say go for the Crown Mini or HJ Alien

You'll find people on both sides of the fence when it comes to this debate, as with the Small vs Tangiers Mini. If you have the cash, I would grab a Small and an Alien. Give both some time and see which you like better. Both are great bowls, though I tend to lean towards the Small myself.

glass bowls scare me i dunno know why.. i dont think ill ever own one...they just seem like any tap to it and it will shatter. But from what i heard about performance they smoke like a champ

I haven't had any of the Crown bowls, but the few MNH glass bowl I've had in my possession have fell on concrete and other hard surfaces and haven't even scratched.

To the OP: I've smoked out of both and just prefer the Small. If you really only want to smoke for 45 minutes, the Alien will work fine though.

Granted I have only used a alien twice, but both times I had issues. They are so shallow there is a really small margin of heat error. Also they just seem kind of cheaply made when compared to a real tangiers phunnel. I would get a phunnel when you smoke tangiers, and just use your egyptian when you want to save shisha and are smoking AF or nakhla.

thanks for all the responses guys. I think I will just get a tang small funnel and use it with a tealight mod. If you put AF or Naklha in it does it still smoke decent?

i smoke mostly nak out of my hj mini. anything should be fine to be smoked out of a phunnel, but i know there are some tobacco's that smoke better out of egyptian style bowls

I prefer using my tangiers small phunnel over any other conventional bowl. With all bowls, you'l end up wasting shisha. the way I see it, u could use shisha saving bowls or method or pack shisha good in a tangiers phunnel. I'd rather have a few very good sessions than many average sessions.
