New Order From Hookahset.Com Arrived

so i received an email from hookahset.com advertising 100 dollar purchases receive a free hookah goza(being that iam a former customer). Also given in the email was a 10% off code. So i went ahead and purchased over 100$ worth of items, stated in the coments please include the hookah goza and used the 10% off coupon. Today the package arrived and theres a note in the box saying sorry goza wasnt included because the 10% off cant be combined with the free goza. This is not stated anywhere in the email or the website it self, Nor was i contacted by email and given the option to choose the discount or the free hookah. Even with the 10% off coupon iam still over the 100 dollar limit required ($117.22)

The following day i even placed another order for $68.93.. so in 2 days i spent [b]186 dollars in total [/b]from this company. I honestly feel they did not do the right thing by me and i emailed them stating so. iam waiting on their response as to which i will let you guys know how it turns out. The combined coupon thing is a little understadable, just because of how most of the sites work and their univeral policy on combined coupons. However, the fact that they didn't give a warning before ordering on the screen, or in the email, or the option before shipment, or any kind of heads up is a littlew bogus.

I mean, if I was making that order, I would much rather take the goza than a ten percent off discount. Completely understandable. I haven't had a problem with hookahset, they seem to be pretty coorperative. Let's see what they reply with.

They should've called you or emailed you asking if you wanted the Goza or the 10% off BEFORE shipping it out. Not just making the decision for you.

I use coupons AND in the comments ask for the free hookah each time I order from hookah-shisha and they haven't skimped out on me once

I think people are giving hookahset a little more credit than they really deserve. They get orders right atleast, finally... but their communication is just so completely terrible. And their customer relations are horrible. It doesn't look like OP is flaming them, just stating that he got screwed out of a free hookah - which he obviously did. A 10% discount is pretty low for a hookah vendor already, especially during holiday seasons.

It looks like people get flamed more for saying hookahset screwed them than people flame hookahset for screwing them.

I don't think they were flaming him for saying he got screwed, just erring on the side of patience in case hookahset rectifies the situation after an email or phone call.

If they don't, then we're back where we started with the OP. But if they do and no one said anything then there's an entire thread of hate toward a vendor that doesn't really deserve it.

hmmm...I got my free hookah (small chinese) I added the 10off HF mem ID coupon...and it all worked out so well for me....Mark did the edits...the good thing is my Noir is smoking well and no BBQ soysauce smells

they actually sent out an email with a 20% off coupon for the chrismas season. how are you contacting them, if its just through the forum its not going to be that quick. send them an email. they dont respond as fast as Hookahjohn, but theyll respond.

I would suggest looking over some their prices. The additional discount is pretty much factored into them.

Yeah, I saw that. Couldn't believe it. But other people ordered KM jumbos and they arrived safely. This leads me to believe they have different people packing orders and some just don't know what they're doing.

Hookahset has phucked my orders up a couple times, but i gotta say they really have made up for it in my eyes. When dealing with them, its usually a good idea to call and talk to mark, cause he gets things right for me. Otherwise, hookahset can be a gamble, sometimes its not worth it, but other times they have hooked me up real good for screwing up the previous order. Also, they get everything to me (in Canada) faster than any other vendor. I love these guys when I want to order a bowl or hose where I don't care what color it is....cause its always a surprise hahah. I can clearly understand why some people would hate this vendor though.

Unless the e-mail telling you about the sale said can not be combined, then it can be combined. If they are going to have a comments section, they should bloody well pay attention to the comments and contact the consumer for clarification. Thats why vendors COLLECT your contact information, or should be.
I agree that it sounds like they have different people packign their stuff OR they can out of peanuts and hoped the newspaper would wor instead of delaying the shipment. Sometimes you gotta get creative. Now if Josh got his combined deal, then clickhea should as well. You can't decide when to follow a rule and when you can't. Well, actually if you own the place you can but it is bad business. Gets you a topic of your own on HF.

Lets see if they cake corrections to the deal and reply to the e-mail the OP sent. Besides, if you can't Vent to your friends who can you vent to?
